You CAN do it yourself if you're handy. HOWEVER!!!!! it's a real timecosting job. You have to drop the front subframe other wise it's not possible. Expect it to be a 2 till 3 days job if you're on your own.

How to replace the tensioner pulley on a scion xb. clearance not friendly.

1) Ask a friendly mechanic.
If you want to be nice, and you realize you are asking him his trade secrets, offer him a gift of a few dollars when he tells you how to do it.
His knowledge is his paycheck.
2) Check out a book from your local library which will tell you the steps. (They are year & model specific.)
3) Check your local car parts store for a repair manual you can read, copy, or buy. (They are year and model specific.)
4) If you haven none of numbers 1,2,and 3,
take off stuff until you can change the tensioner yourself.
God bless your efforts.

How do i put freon into a 1984 grand marquis

You can't

They do not sell R12 Refrigerant - in over 15 years or more

In 1993 they went to R134a
You would have to convert the system on the car to have a/c

The car is 28 years old ,forget it

Freon is no longer -- as well

It was a Dupont trade name-- not used in a few years

Ford fusion v6 3.0 is stalling out with the mechanical symbol lighting up

Check for OBD 2 Codes ,Google them,
then take to a repair shop

You can't work on today's cars yourself,
without the knowledge & tools of the trade

Read your owners manual?

Ever take the car to a shop a couple times
a year to get it checked out ,when it does work
correctly- that's what you need to do

Never stop working on them & testing them &
collecting data, when they work properly

Now you STOP using it until properly diagnosed
& repaired

Where is location of fuel tepration censor of nissan premira

Depend from the car's year, yours should be inside but a skilled mechanic can figure it out as soon as he sees it!
if you are not going to do it by yourself ,please go a least to some private mechanic to avoid big bill and to save something since your car is not really new! Good luck

What is the trade value, 86000 miles, good condition

The trade value will vary on what options this Jeep came with from the factory and also the overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. Here on the east coast of the USA, this vehicle would sell if you were to sell it yourself for about $5000.00 easy. The kids love these old school Jeeps. The dealer may beat you up on the price for a trade in.

My car over heated and now my exhaust is throwing out white smoke.

White smoke in the exhaust is classic blown head gasket. Pull the dip stick and see if there is water in the oil. Have your mechanic do the test for blown head gasket to confirm.

My friend, this will not get any better. lease have the problem corrected as soon as you can. The best 'fix' for this 15 year old car may be a trade.

I have a 94 camry V6 XLE with 150K miles. It overheated and the mechanic says it's the water pump. But he also says the camshaft seals are leaking and this will make the timing belt break. My question...

94 w/150k? This your call. This vehicle is 15 yrs behind in technology, It's condition mechanically will get progressively worse at a faster rate.In the 70's the life expectancy of the average vehicle was 3-5 yrs, in the 80's,5--7, 90's 10-15 yrs , now 15-25 yrs.. The newer vehiles have better warranties, better fuel mileage, and safety fearures. But, the 94 is paid for, still gets reasonable fuel mileage. What about brakes, tires, transmission issues and overall condition? All need to be considered when looking at 500.00 trade in and 2-00 - $400.00 a month in payments.. This car can also take you another 50 - 70,000 miles. At 10,000 miles a year. That's another 5 - 7 years of service and no payments. Normal maintenance will keep it in dependable condition. I'm not a car salesman and I own a 96 buick and a 2003 silverado. To me, $850 a pop unexpectedly would displease me . I traded in and got 1,000 for a 87 pick up and paid 23,000 for the 03 @ 485.00 per month, Used with 26,000 miles on it.. I had my own business doing well and 485 was hard to swallow. It has 92,000 on it now and haven't had anything serious go wrong that the warranty didn't cover. No major repairs. I think Chev and hondas are the two best if all. Stay away from Fords and dodge. Look over this site and see which ones you see the most of with nuisance problems and a few matorhunt and pecks the dealers that sell them can't help fix. Anyway, Spending more for repairs is your call as is the replacement. Good Luck.

No A/C

well if you want to save some cash go to a salvage yard and find the part you need for next to nothing. buy a manual for your vehicle for around 20 bucks and o'reilly's or napa and you got the tools and you can do this yourself and save some cash. the chilton will have diagrams to help you and will also have other info so you can do future repairs yourself and it has all the specs too

I Need 1995 bmw 318is drive belt diagram

All belts are easy to work out how to put back on, never needed a diagram in my life, 1. Did you take the belt off? 2. If so and you don't remember how to put it back your and idiot for not drawing a diagram for yourself first. 3. Just go to workshop and get them to put it on. Every person that pops up a bonnet thinks they are mechanic. These are the people don't have clue what they are doing brake and destroys things then come and disturb me while i'm working to ask me how to fix it. These **** are on drugs why the **** would I tell them how to do it something when doing that is my bread and butter. Didn't go to trade school for 4 years to tell other **** how to do it. & THIS TRADE IS THE HARDEST TRADE NEVER STOP LEARNING NO MECHANIC KNOWS EVERYTHING AND WAY UNDERPAID.
