More than one issue...
White smoke is steam (water in engine). Your oil dipstick probably has some white goop on it. That is water mixed with the oil.
Head gasket is blown (likely), or cylinder wall has a crack (less likely).

Bluish smoke is Oil; same reason, but lookinbg mor likely that engine block has a crack in it.

This is also the cause of overheating.

Battery: could be several things. Alternator, bad cell in battery, some electrical item staying ON, or a short somewhere.

Before spending lots of money on an engine swap, try:
K&W Motor Block Sealer ($14). Add to your radiator (read the directions). Worth a try!

Please consider any other experts' solutions.

Well, blue smoke means you are burning oil, white smoke means you are burning coolant, overheating means that either you are low on coolant (consistent with burning coolant) or that your coolant is not circulating properly due to a blockage somewhere. These are all things that should probably be dealt with by a service center (if you deem the car to be worth the cost of repairs).
The battery not holding a charge is a definite sign of time for a new battery, and a charging system test. Pending the results of said test you may also need a new alternator.

Blueish white smoke comeing from exhaust

Hello There

White smoke when first started is normal. If white smoke continues you have an internal coolant leak, i.e., cracked head/blown head gasket.
Black smoke is caused by a rich fuel condition.
Blue smoke is caused by oil consumption.

You need to check your oil cap for yellow/white gunk on the cap if you have this then this is a sign your head gasket is cracked. Check to see if your radiator coolant level is down this is also another sign.

Hope this helps. Please don't forget to rate me.

Many Thanks

My 2004 745li bmw leaves white smoke when driving off sometimes

This widespread problem is the one part no one thinks of: ENGINE VACUUM PUMP.it runs mechanically off camshaft;once seal leaks, oil from camshaft housing enters vac oump and becomes ingested by engine, therefore exiting tailpipe, water accumulation in by product of catalytic converter changing smog/carbon to water/vapor.REPLACE VAC PUMP AND SEAL ,SMOKE WILL STOP!!!!

I have 06 ford 350 6 liter diesel has do not run for 4 days batteries are low and blowing white smoke

White smoke is a sign of water which may be a sign of a blown head gasket..... havve a reputable shop do a compression test on this vehicle.
If the car runs a few minutes does it overheat??? If so turn it off and dont drive it until it gets fixed if not white could be condensation and low batteries could be just in need of replacement and or a good charge.

91 tempo run rough with white exhaust

If you are sure it is white smoke and the car overheats or looses water,The head gasket is bad.
Or It's valve seals or rings smokes (but the smoke would have a blueish tint)

My engine is smoking when i start engine on mornings

sounds like valve guids are wearing out.. drying out and cracking. only fix is to replace them. or try a heavier oil. sometimes that will help depending on the severity of the problem.

Blueish smoke from the exhaust

Blueish smoke is probably excess fuel. If this is the case, the exhaust should smell gassy. I'm thinking that one of the injectors is leaking...something injector cleaner wouldn't solve (you may have to buy a new injector if that's the case). I would check the spark plugs to see if one looks different than the others, that way you can narrow it down. I took my injectors for my porsche to www.witchhunter.com to have my injectors checked and found that a couple of them were leaking so bad they couldn't be fixed. If you send in your injectors to him and any of them are leaky/unrepairable, he won't charge you for them. :)
