Most likely a coil on the plug. You will have to unplug one at a time to see witch one is bad. When you unplug one coil, and no change in the idle, then that will be the one that is bad.

Egr valve for 1997 cheve Blazer code is 0300 misfireing what could be the trouble

usually this code is followed by another number 1-4 or 1-6 or 1-8 depending on how many cylinders your vehicle has ,, what the code you got is a basic P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective computer
  • I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.
Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck ope

I am about to buy a 2001 chevy blazer 4WD 4.3L 4door from a small dealership. A code comes up on the computer as the truck is misfiring in cylinder #4, they have replaced the Cap, rotor, the plugs and the...

I had a 99 jeep cherokee. The coolant sensor went and then the sensor for the coolant fan went out. I sold the jeep and bought a 98 GMC half ton truck. The old saying "The chrome don't get you home." is exactly right. If I were you I would look at nada.com and select a vehicle to buy then check what people think about it. I hope I helped a little bit.

My 99 4.3 blazer is missfiring on cylinder #4. How can I tell witch is #4?

Your #1 Cylinder is always the one closet to the front of the engine which on this V6 is on the driver side so this what they call the left bank cylinders #1,3,5 and the right bank(passenger side) is # 2,4,6

Misfire -- 98 blazer

No other History, symptoms, clues, things checked?
Would check the compression on all the cylinders; suspect 4 and 5 could be low if adjacent, and look for plug fowling (and whether oily, caked, or different from other plugs--all are clues).
Adjacent cylinders are suspect for head gasket between them (where it is narrow), look for white smoke (coolant) as well, and bubbles in radiator or even oil slick in coolant.
...would assume you already checked the spark uniformity
