Your MAP sensor is receiving a High Input. possible causes are as follows: this means that the circuit is open or shorted to the VREF, the grounding circuit is open between the sensor and the PCM, the sensor is damaged, PCM has failed. possible causes for the sensor to fail, extended engine cranking or a backfire. I hope this helps you, thanks

Hi there, I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu 3.5L engine with an error code B3948. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!

See if the signal flashes, buy a new bulb. Some Chevy no longer use a flasher relay, the signal comes from the body computer.

What you need to do is pull the error code from the computer. This takes a scanner tool, but some parts stores and lube shops may pull the codes for you. You must have the codes to know the offending system component.
