I have a 2005 Volvo XC90 T6 I replaced the O2 sensor the one that hooks to turbo and Mass airflow but the car won't run long it miss fires and cut off what the problem???


Sounds like a bad fuel pump or a clogged filter

Sounds like a bad fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter. Hit the gas tank with a rubber hammer when it won't start and try starting out again.
Sometimes the pump will work again long enough to get to a mechanic.

I have a 2002 jeep liberty limited. wont stay running. have to stay on the gas for it to continue to run. if u let off it will die out. sounds rough an it sounds like a something flappin. wat is wrong


Could be any number of things. Bad spark plug wires. Vacuum leak. Fuel pump on the fritz. Bad TPS. Buggy fuel injector.
Is the check engine light on?
Need more input!
Either way it sounds like a qualified mechanic needs to take a look at it for you. It'll save you the aggravation of searching perpetually for a free quick fix.

No fire all the time


Fire--means what?

You have a NO START Condition-- most of the time

Your going to have to do some testing

What are you missing?
Spark or Fuel -when it won't start

I would put my money on a failed fuel pump
Check the fuel pressure

Engine firing order


If the leads or not correct for the firing order you will have a pronounced miss/ back fire or hard to start. If the fuse to the fuel pump keeps blowing then the pump is shorting out or is drawing too much current in it's operation. Acceleration will demand a plentiful supply of fuel and if the pump is having problems replace the pump . have the fault codes read and have a fuel pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check -filter and fuel regulator operation

1983 CJ-7 Had someone put water in gas tank? Blew out lines, rebuilt carb and cleaned out, cleaned tank, gas dryer and new fuel, new fuel filter (clear), new fuel pump,replaced rotor cap, plug wires,...


You put something back the wrong way.....any amount of water in the tank, carb or whatever WILL NOT cause the engine not to fire.....check any wiring/rewiring you did for accuracy

Put a new fuel pump on my 92 ranger. 3.0 l 2wd, itll crank and you kan hear the pump run but wnt fire, any ideas?


your question is to vague.
what made you change the fuel pump. (symptoms)
Always remember an engine needs
  1. fuel
  2. spark
  3. compression
  4. timing
have you confirmed that you are getting fuel and if are
check for spark
and work down the list if one is missing that's your answer

Problems during excelaration act's like it' going to cut out during excelaration seems like maybe a fuel problem it seems like it might be miss firing


It sounds like low fuel delivery, check the fuel filter, if it is after the pump and you can disconnect the line to the motor put the end in a container and get someone to start the motor, the fuel should spurt strongly. Beyond this you need to check the lines to the tank.

if the check engine light is not coming on and there are no error codes,have you checked the fuel pressure? the fuel pump may sound like its working but if you don't have 30 to 40 psi at the schrader valve on the fuel rail, then it is the fuel pump that is bad. if you had an intermittent miss or one cylinder was not firing you would get an error code to show a random misfire or a specific cylinder misfire.

Vr4 with miss and back fire under load


If this just started, maybe after a hard run, you may want to check your sparkplugs. I've melted the insulator on one of my plugs after a prolonged, spirited run causing same symptoms.
