My 93' 940 turbo is stalling on me. Stalls at lights sometimes, while driving, and especially during slow right turns. I replaced the fuel pump relay, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. It made no difference. The problem is getting worse and now the trani wont shift out of first until about 5000 RPM, then it shifts fine after that. Is it sensors or something serious?

when your car stalls by turning left or right, usually a loose or a
glazed belt is suspected. reason being is that the pump is being put
under a load by the power steering piston. making belt slip because it
needs more torque to spin pulley. also draws more current, so check idle
speed and spark plugs.
The TCC solenoid in the transmission needs to be replaced. It is under the side cover. It controls the converter to lock up for better fuel mileage. If you want to drive car until you get it fixed you can un-plug the connector going to the transmission on the front of transmission. This will keep it from going to lock up mode and keep it from stalling until you can fix it. Common problem.
Most common cause of stalling for Lincolns in that era is the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). It regulates fuel mixture, idle speed etc. A bad TPS will usually act up in one of two ways:
When cold, car continually stalls
When warm, car stalls when slowing down (especially if AC is on)
As far as valve cover oil leak, it's a problem that should be addressed to keep oil from fouling your spark plugs but highly unlikely to be the cause of your stalling problem. Hope this answers your question. All the best.
You have one of two very common problems.
Number one may be a stuck open EGR valve
Number two would be a failing Idle Air Control valve (IAC).
Try this: Open the hood & locate the EGR valve, close to the firewall, behind the intake. Find & take with you a small hammer. The next time that it happens, open the hood & tap on the EGR valve. If it is sticking "open" the tapping may dislodge the carbon particles that are keeping it open.When the EGR valve is open, exhaust is getting into the intake at idle, and this will def stall out the car.
There is no repair to the IAC valve, it would need to be replaced if it is bad.
One of these two scenarios will cure your problem, I see it every day.
