Question about 2002 Nissan Sentra
Sounds like when you last had someone work on your car, they knocked the wire going to the sending unit off. Look around the thermosat housing, normally located were the upper radiator hose goes to the engine. Most cars have the temp sensor on or around this area of the engine. Most gauges show hot if this wire touches ground(any metal part of car) but some work in reverse.
