the upper 02 sensor is for air fuel mix while the secondary 02 sensor is for the operation and status of the catalitic converter are you sure the catalitic converter is not plugged. Could be if you have had a loss of power

There is a common misconception that a CODE READ and a DIAGNOSTIC TEST are one and the same.. They are most certainly NOT!
The first thing to have done is to verify that the engine has a misfire or not. Then if the misfire is present, determine what is the cause of the misfire. A misfire in and of itself will not cause n oxygen sensor to "burn out". However if the oxygen sensor is bad, it will cause a performance problem and also cause an idle issue. What needs to be done is to connect the vehicle to a scanner and observe the data when the problem is happening. That way you can know what the fuel mixture is and whether of not the oxygen sensors are working properly.
Unfortunately, there is a lot more to engine performance diagnostics than just a code reading.

Check engine light is on, says oxygen sensor

No it doesn't say O2 sensor it says a problem exists in the O2 sensor circuit. The diagnostics must be done to determine the actual failed part.

Check Engine light with Po131 o2 circuit low voltage sensor 1 bank 1 reading, what does that mean?

- Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted
- Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1
- Inappropriate fuel pressure
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Intake air leaks may be faulty
- Exhaust gas leaks

Replacing the O2 Sensor 1 usually takes care of the problem

The front heated oxygen sensor (or O2 sensor 1) is placed into the exhaust manifold. It detects the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas compared to the outside air. The heated oxygen sensor 1 has a closed-end tube made of ceramic zirconia. The zirconia generates voltage from approximately 1V in richer conditions to 0V in leaner conditions. The heated oxygen sensor 1 signal is sent to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM adjusts the injection pulse duration to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio. The ideal air-fuel ratio occurs near the radical change from 1V to 0V.

1996 Toyota 4runner 3.4L error code p0133

SAE J2012 Revised DEC2007 lists Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0133 as "O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1"

This code basically means that the upstream oxygen sensor on bank one of your engine is not responding as quickly as it should to changes in oxygen leavels in the exhaust.

The usual causes of this is an oxygen sensor that is just plain worn out (if it has a lot of miles on it) or an oxygen sensor that is contaminated by engine oil or antifreeze leaks causing these fluids to be burned in the exhaust (like bad piston rings, defective PCV valve, blown head gasket, etc.).

In any case, the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. However it should be noted that if it is caused by contamination like that described above, replacing it will only result in a new oxygen sensor doing the same thing if the cause of the contamination is not repaired.

Check engine light is on, diagnostic code p0140 keeps comming up.

I had this problem with my 05 Trailblazer and it happened around 50k miles. The oxygen sensor needs to be replaced and the part costs about 90 bucks but atleast you will have you're check engine light off.

Check engine light

P0041 Downstream Oxygen Sensors Swapped From Bank To Bank
How does a P0041 code trigger the check engine light? This code will trigger the light to come on under the following condition:

The Heated Oxygen Sensor Monitor, a strategy built into the computer, determines if the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) signal response for a change in fuel trim corresponds to the correct engine bank. If a response from the Oxygen Sensor being tested is not indicated, a trouble code will be set and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) will illuminate.
Possible Causes:
Crossed Heated Oxygen Sensor harness connectors
Wiring swapped from one Oxygen Sensor connector to the other
Wiring changed at the computer connection or in the related harness

Check Engine light is on

I would recommend that you change all oxygen sensors at the same time. A little expensive but it will save you the the aggravation of changing one at a time. Get it all done at once. anyhow the bank 2 sensor 2 is the Right side manifold second sensor the one closes to the catalytic converter. good luck. thanks for using FIX YA
