ALL BATTERY LEADS ARE THE SAME
Red wire is Poss or the biggest term/Black wire is Neg which goes to the smallest term which is earth..
Red is Feed wire to starter motor/Alternator lights etc Black or earth wire goes to engine somewhere on bolt on the block and also a small thinner wire goes to the body any where as long as its clean and no paint. and away you go (easy)
Let me know if you have any more problems Ron

Battery light on, not charging

Check the wear arrow marks on the belt tensioner.

Belt tension last up to 90K miles.

A worn tensioner will reduce the friction between the belt and alternator pulley.

How do you replace the connectors on the battery

Simple solution: First make sure you've purchased new ones from parts store. Then you just cut off old ones, strip back shielding, slide cable into new clamp, crimp cable & connect to battery. TIP; before cutting, mark ground cable (-) w/black electrical tape so you don't get cables confused.

How to wire a harry moss air horne relay to compressor terminal onrelay are TR BATT PUL AND TERMINAL BELOW PUL WITH NO MARKINGS IT COULD BE EARTH ON THE COMPRESSOR ITS HARRY MOSS MASERATI AIR HORNS TWO...

If the compressor has 3 air connections on top then the two lower terminals with nuts are the + and - supply inputs to the compressor motor. The two top spade terminals power a solenoid valve which changes a triple sequence (illegal?) to a combined blended triple tone. I don't think polarity is an issue but to check this connect a 12V battery -ve to the mounting bracket on the compressor. Attach 2 wires to a headlamp bulb and connect one to battery +ve. Then touch the spare wire to each of the 4 terminals in turn. If the bulb lights that terminal is at compressor ground. You can determine the operation of the relay in the same way. Between 2 terminals the relay will operate. Note those and then test each to the relay bracket to see if one side of the coil is grounded. By powering the relay directly from the battery you can then use the bulb to determine which contacts are 'made' when the relay operates. You will need a relay to control power to the motor. The solenoid valve probably only takes a couple of amps. You could run both the motor and the solenoid valve from the same relay if you just wanted a blended composite tone.

I need help removing wiring off of starter for 91 chevy corsica

First and foremost, before you do any of that make sure you disconnect the battery terminals, unless you want to get the **** shocked out of you.

The starter (in case you're not aware, I have no idea) is a black cylindrical object right underneath the front of the car... pretty close to the bumper cover. There should only be two bolts holding it up - taking it off is pretty simple. Just get the bolts off with a socket wrench (you might need a deep set socket) and you're set. Hooking it back up can be tricky though. Try and mark the wires somehow so you can remember which ones go where, or you might cause some electrical issues when you get it back on.

I replaced the starter on my 1993 silverado but, it still won't start, why?

Anytime I suspect a starter has gone bad especially after a few unsucessful jumpstarting attempts with good cables, I always take it out and bench test it, If you have any local autoparts stores in your area they usually can test it for you for free! (Saves you serious bucks) If the started test are good, the next thing is to inspect and test your wiring, making sure you have good clean connections. As you check and trace out the wiring you should find the starter relay on a fender well under the hood. This unit has battery cable sized wiring bolted on its terminals and is a simple replacement. Disconeccet the negitive terminal at the battery FIRST. Mark your wires and attach one at a time to the new unit.

What procedures do I take when removing and installing a new starter? 1991 lexus ls 400

Let engine cool down, remove battery terminals (negative first, then positve), remove starter. Install starter, install battery terminals (positive first, then negative), start and check for proper operation (no grinding noise or squeling).
