Question about 2000 Ford Windstar
The service engine light stays on. We have repalced sensors several times. Now, when waiting at a stop light for longer periods of time, the motor starts running rough and sometimes dies.
The problem you describe sounds like what I had a few months ago. Have the trouble code checked at Autozone for free and if you get 172 & 174 then you have isolator bolt problems (The engine is running lean). The fix is to replace the isolator bolts ($7 each) and clean the ports. Should take about an hour or two. Contact me at cmckllar<at>bbtel<dot>com for futher help.
