P0113 code solution

Find the inlet air temperature sensor somewhere along the airflow route to the engine. It is often integrated with the mass airflow sensor. If it is separate from the airflow sensor, it will only have 2 wires. If the airflow connector has more than 4 pins, the air temp sensor is probably integrated there. Inspect the wiring and remove the connector. Inspect the pins in the sensor and the terminals on the connector. Make sure the connector is connecting properly. If all looks good, test the sensor. Look up test procedures for your model and use an ohmmeter to test.

Hi Mike:
The IAT sensor is an integral part of the Mass Airflow Sensor, located on the air filter box. The MAF sensor has 5 wires. The yellow wire with the green stripe is the output from the IAT and feeds terminal THA on the ECU.

2004 scion xb shuts off while at a stop light ? than has trouble starting back up.

check that the mass air flow sensor has a clean sensor. Cars with MAF dont idle well if the sensor wire gets crude built up on it.
