Try asking the dealer they should be able to tell you if and how to do it.

Replacing just the glass in a wing mirror, passenger side

Don't know what kind of car your working on but most GM you will want to take a standard small screwdriver and there are 3 o4 little clips that attach mirror glass to head. Look for round piece about size of 50cent piece and pry lightly it will split the two apart. If you have glass already look for the connector 50 cent piece '. When you put together it snaps into place but use a rag between hand and glass when installing and be careful and it will snap into the 3 or 4 holes. Make sure all the old plastic pieces are removed from exsisting mirror head.

I need to replace the headlight lenses on an 06 PT Cruiser. I have the lenses, but no instructions on how to do it! Any ideas?

you need to take the light out of car. take the rubber covers off and bulbs out and motor for the lights if you have them on your light. no in the kitchen preheat your oven gas mark 6-7 electric 500f or as high as it will go. leave one shelf in the oven. place light in oven for 10 min. keep checking on it wile it is in. take out of oven and have these tools ready. 2 flat head screw drivers the bigger the head the better. even a scraper for taking wall paper off. now on the light when it is out were the lens and the head light case fits together put the screw driver in and prize out the lens with both screw drivers of whatever you are using to get into the gap. if pas side prize out right side of light first. left side for drivers side. if cools wile you are doing this. put back in the oven. keep doing this till it is off. now putting back on the new lens. the old glue on the head light make sure it still covers the hole of the light frame for the lens. if not heat some off the old lens and fill in the gaps. put the head light in the oven again and keep an eye on it by checking the glue seal is tacky to the touch. pull out when is and pull out of the oven and push the new lens on. keep heating it up can use a hair dryer on high heat setting for this. and keep heating and pushing the lens on till it all covers the seam like when you took the old one off. when done leave to cool down and give the light a good clean then put every thing back on light and back onto the car. all done. hope this helps this is how you do it to all lights that are plastic or glass type. if glass type it heats up quicker so be aware of that. if light is smashed best not to put in oven use a hair dryer as the oven can make the edges of the broken lens melt and could damage the reflector in the light. will take long to get of with hair dryer.

it may be possible that you don't have to remove the lens, the bulb might come out of the light from by turning the fitting & just pulling the whole thing out.......hope this helps......cheers.

I have a 2003 volkswagen jetta. i need to remove the glass on the front drivers side and front passenger side doors and replace it with new glass.after i remove the door panel how do i do this?

The panels have 3 t20 torx screws on the bottom and one philips head near the mirror. Under pull handles there are 3 philips on the drivers and 2 philips on the passengers sides. Pull the panels from the bottom and lift the panels up. There are 2 black rubber plugs in each door, pop each plug out and the glass is held in place to the clips on each side with either a 10 mm bolt or t30 torx bolt. Move the glass to the point where you can see the bolts, loosen, but don't remove the bolts. Once loose, you can pull the glass loose. Once loose, lower the window a bit, angle the rear of the glass up and pull it out. The glass may be epoxied in place, as VW had a problem with windows coming loose. If so, try to pop the rubber in the clamp loose (above the bolts you see through the holes) and reinstall it with the window removed.

How do you remove and replace the headlight, driver side on a 1994 F350 diesel dually.

You have to remove the air intake and also remove the battery to gain access to the head light...Unscrew the wiring harness counter clock wise and remove the light insert, insert new light insert and reattach wiring harness

Replace driver side power mirror on 2003 ford crew cab f-150

Muth makes the signal mirrors for repalcing the glass in the mirror head. On the site, they have nice instructions you can use for removing the door panel, and getting the mirror off ( obviously stop at the removing the glass part, and just replace with the mirror head you already have ).

Enter the Make, MY, and model you have, and on the products page are the links to the PDF version of the instructions for download.

How do I change the bulb in the driver's headlight of my 95 Toyota 4Runner?

You must remove the four screws that hold in the side marker lenses (two per side/lens) pull the lens forward & out to the side. Next remove the grille, to do this you need to push in both top & bottom of the plastic clips that hold it in place. These clips usually break since they are old (1995) & made of plastic. Each clip costs $1.99 from the Toyota dealership (for .02 cents worth of plastic!) you will probably need a few even though they are way overpriced. Then once the grille is removed you can remove the four bolts that hold the lens assembly in place, once it is removed you unplug the bulb & then unscrew the plastic retaining ring that holds the bulb in place & remove the bulb from the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal - BEWARE; do not touch the glass of the bulb, oil from your skin will cause hot spots on the glass & lead to premature failure of the bulb. If you do happen to touch it, clean the bulb with alcohol prior to assembly.

Method #2; remove the air box on the drivers side (behind the headlight & you can remove the bulb from the back. On the passenger side, remove the battery & the washer fluid reservoir & you can remove it from the back also. Either method is time consuming & an unusually bad hassle for something as routine as changing a headlight.

Change lens cover1998 grand caravan

There's really no way to change a lens cover on a headlamp or tail light on that vehicle. You'll have to change the whole light/housing. For the tail light, open the hatch and remove the two screws. Depending on weather you buy new or used, you may have to replace the board on the back. For the headlight, open the hood. There are two 10mm bolts on the top and two that come straight in from the back. On the driver's side it might be easier to take out the battery. Be careful though, these bolts have a tendency to break easily. Unplug the bulbs. If you remove the bulbs, be careful not to touch the glass on the headlights as these are usually halogen bulbs. The oil on your fingers will create a "hot spot" causing the bulbs to fail soon.

Removing the head light from a 1997 pathfinder

I replace my head light bulbs recently and it was easy.
I think that you might have to replace the whole head light assembly in order to replace the glass.
Hope this helps. I found the answer in the drivers hand book under light bulb replacement.

Replace passenger side power mirror clearance lamp (bulb only).

If you are facing the passenger side mirror adjust the top (large) mirror so that it is turning in towards the truck as far as it will go. Then look behind the mirror in the bottom righthand corner (outside bottom corner) and you will see a silver metal clip. Take a straight head screw driver and push on that clip and the lens will pop out. Then you simply unscrew the bulb holder from the lens and replace your bulb. Good luck!
