How to install 02 sensor for a 1999 chevy tahoe

unplug the electrical connector, then using a 7/8" wrench or O2 sensor socket turn the sensor counter clockwise to remove. sometimes you have to use a torch and heat the area around it to loosen the sensor. be aware sometimes the threads pull out of the exhaust that will have to be repaired to install new O2.

Code 1133

Error code p1133 indicates faulty O2 sensor on Bank-1 sensor-1. The problem may rise due to faulty or damaged sensor wiring. Also defective O2 sensor may be cause of problem. First thing you should do is to inspect the wiring and connectors then go for replacing the O2 sensor if wires don't work.

I have a 03 tahoe 5.3cats were getting red ,replaced them engine light on ,codes show system lean bank 1&2 also crankshaft sensor a circiut range / performance

I would replace the O2 sensor/s. Then address the crankshaft sensor. The O2s may have been damaged from the excessive heat.

O2 sensors failing

Your O2 sensor has been running for a long long time. OBD 2 checks both O2 sensors *(pre and post catalyst) to confirm it is just a bad sensor and not an out of range sensor condition or catalyst problem.

If your exhaust system was plugged you would hear it as a loud hissing noise of exhaust escaping any way it could before the plug. You would also notice nothing coming out of the back of the exhaust system. Both easy to rule out.

Replace the appropiate O2 sensor, reset your computer, and drive!

Good luck and be careful!

Engine problems

Check your exhaust. If the vacum is not complete, the truck may idle like ****. Same for your catalytic converters and O2 sensors. do a system check at a garage.

1999 Chevy tahoe will not start

check the crank sensor. no signal from the crank sensor causes a no spark condition. best way to check is to put a scanner on and check for rpms.
the crank sensor is differnt from the cam sensor

Service engine soon light

Heat sensor or heated O2 sensor? These are 2 different things. After replacing the sensor the first time, did you remove the negative battery cable for at least 30 seconds? This will re-set the ECM.
