The easiest way is to take the car to an autoparts store when you are out and about and have them use a scan tool to reset the check engine light. Most parts stores will do this at no charge. Hope this helped and best wishes.
Yes sir and what I said was that they can reset the check engine light with the scan tool. I wasn't talking about getting the scan done again. If you don't want to go to the autoparts store then you can disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 30 minutes to reset the computer. I just find it easier to let them reset it with a scan tool, but that is your call. Best wishes.

Check
engine light comes on and off, these are indication that there is some
error code stored in your vehicles ECM. The engine module computer
needs to be scanned. These will give the code and as per the error code the
further problem can be detected and confirmed. The engine light
indicator blinks or remains steady on dash when engine computer
noticed any problem with any engine electrically operated components.

I did have code scanned and there were NO CODES PRESENT as I had said in the initial question
Thank You....I will disconnect the ground cable as suggested. I was told that Honda has a special way to turn out the light on the instrument panel which should be in the owners manual that I don't have. The mechanic which used the code reader could not reset the light. Thank You again
