Check the cable that goes from your battery to the fuse box the relay that is clicking is on. Check for lose bolts or corrosion of the contacts or something like that. If the relay is clicking it sounds to me like it is a voltage issue going to the relay.

Fuel pump relay hot

You could have a loose connection going to the relay. Loose or bad connections cause amperage to rise causing heat to rise. Check the plug holes where the relay pins plug in. Check for blackened metal or melting plastic around the pins. If so, check under the relay box for burnt wires, etc. and repair.

'99 chevy caviler fires right up, but then dies after started, like out of gas. Fuel relay sensor? fuel filter? fuel pump?

If it is fuel injected it will get enough fuel to start but not stay running. I had the same problem with my S10. Turns out the hose that went on to the end of the fuel pump was roted. pull the sending unit and check the hose connections to the pump and the sending unit. If problem presists replace filter first the pump.

1991 chevy s10 blazer

Check the fuse under the dash. Did you replace the inline fuel filter? If not, you could loosen the line going into the filter then turn the key to the on position. The pump should run for about 2 seconds then the relay should kick off. Turn off the key for approx. 5 seconds then cycle key back on and the pump should cycle again. If you get a 2 second burst of fuel each time then the pump is cycling. Install a new fuel filter and check the grounded wire by the tank. Hope this helps. :)
