Question about 2003 Toyota Camry

Open Question

I recently had a rear brake job on my 2003 camry (v6).Since then my ABS and emergency brake light come on after I start driving a few Km. When I stop the lights go out but when I start driving again the lights come back on after only a few minutes. A friend at a garage checked the flashing code and the abs lights flashed 3 times pause, 3 times pause, 3 times pause, and then 9 times. Does anyone know what this code means?

Try diconnecting the battery for a minute or so, then reconnect it. the computer should reset itself, and hopefully the light will go out.

Right rear tire is locked up

If you are unable to fix yourself, than yes you can drive it to local shop. You still have front brakes working.
If you can repair yourself start by removing rear tire than brake drum and look for broken parts. Most likely they will fall out when you remove drum.
Replace worn or broken parts which are inexpensive for your car.
Check for leaking fluid from broken break lines and check fluid level under hood. Keep me informed N I'll help. Paul

Wayne, I would start with the brake wheel sensors, most likely the front end- I would start there first.
Has this vehicle had brake pads replaced, or had recent brake work? If so, what was done, and by who? (home job, or brake shop?)

2002 Toyota Camry , no abs and new rotors and pads, 155,000 km. Initially when driving the car, the pedal feel goes down smooth. After a few more braking while driving, the pedal feel goes down jittery....

Although the toyota mechanics could eventually be right, your car is exhibiting all the signs of air in the brake lines. This is especially common after a recent brake job. Some mechanics merely push back the calipers to keep pressure on the brake lines and don't bother to bleed the lines. This works most of the time but the only true way to ensure there's no air in the lines is to bleed them. After having the brakes bled, if you are still having the same issue, I'd say it would be related to the master cylinder but I'd never replace it or any related component without first ruling out air in the lines. I hope this helps answer your question. Best of luck!

I have a 94 Camry V6. Brake light went on about a

All modern cars have a dual brake system, this way if you would happen to spring a leak in your rear brakes, your front brakes still work. When one system fails, you get a brake light. In your case, the first place to start your troubleshooting is to check the fluid level in the brake reservoir. If either the front or back of the reservoir is empty, you have a leak. If both are still full, the most likely problem is your master cylinder failing. If you think you have a leak, look at the inside edges of all 4 wheels, and look for signs of brake fluid .

The abs light remains on

are all the tires same size. Inflated to the same PSI. How did you check the sensors, Did you ohm them. they should be the same. Still did you drive the car to make sure all the sensors still read the same as you speed up. You need a scanner for this. When you clear the light does it come on right away before you roll. If so you prabably need to get the control module rebuilt. If it comes on after you start rolling then its most likely a sensor.
