Can I use a synthetic 5w20 in my 2008 Suzuki Forenzs? I have always used 5w30.

If it calls for 5W30, use 5W30 only. The weight of the motor oil is very important for proper lubrication. It does not matter if synthetic or not, as long as you use the exact motor oil that is specified in your owners manual. I do not recommend using 5W20 motor oil. Never !!!

Codes p0455

455

new year stated. 1996 or 2014?
what car, what engine>?
a generic answer, late.
is:
EVAP Leak Detected (Gross Leak)

the tank has a vent system.
it is tested constantly running for being sealed.
the top cause 99,99% is the gas cap is, loose, missing or wrong kind or bad.
if the gas cap is good. then the system has a breach.
we use a leak down tester to find those leaks. easy.
cracked vent hoses?
etc.
do you want to do tests? do you have tools?
if not.
reset the code and use a new cap.
does 455 come back.
yes, then the tests must be done. guessing will no work
visuals can work, looking for cracks.

There is a whole list of possible codes. You can take the car into a suzuki dealer to find out which code will work.

Power surging

This could be a number of problems, first you will need to check for trouble codes. See what you get. It could be as simple as a vaccuum leak, idle air control valve, map sensor, maf sensor. You really need to pull codes first.

Engine Light stays on

It could be many things making you engine light come on. I would suggest taking it to auto zone or advance auto if you have one in your area they will check your trouble codes for free . With out knowing what trouble code is making your engine light come on I can not tell you witch part is bad.
