I have know by experience that if you cross plug wires you can get an engine extremely hot ive seen it also seen it hot enough to get the exhaust manifolds glowing red if they havent put their hands in it and corrected the problem i would check the firing order to make sure it was correct and that they didnt cross the plug wires.

Check to see if the spark plugs are getting voltage. Check your distributor and rotor and make sure the distributor cap is not cracked, and the rotor is making contact. You can use an inductive timing light or use a spark plug connected to one of the plug wires to and ground the base of the plug using a jumper cable (do not touch the plug when cranking). When cranking you should see a spark. If you do not it could be the coil or electronic ignition. If you see sparks then you need to check the fuel pump pressure.

My 96 bronco 5.8 stumbles on acceleration.

Did it spark well on all the plugs? Usually if you have no change in idle with two wires removed it needs a new set of spark plug wires. If it was cylinder 2 & 3 (side by side) then you should suspect a head gasket. Does the Bronco have multiple coils or a coil pack with multiple inputs? Are these two plugs hooked up to one coil?

The vehicle died during the morning warm up process, now it just cranks and won't fire. It turns over well, but won't start????

Do you have spark at the end of the plug wires? Have you changed your fuel filter lately? Just some things to check first.

1989 bronco eddie runs tuned it up but not

You may have cross a couple of spark plug leads. Check your firing order and then trace the spark plug wires back from the cap. You may also have the timing off. If you can check the timing with a light, you may need to adjust that as well.

1992 honda accord lx sounds like a go cart, it goes - putt, putt, while driving. i just had an oil change, could that be it, italmost seems like it wants to cut off.

When did you last have a tune up? Sounds like it's not running on all four cylinders. Check the oil to make sure they filled it to the correct level, but the oil change should not be related. With the engine cold, check the wires at the distributor cap, to make sure they are inserted completely, also that they are connected properly to the spark plugs. If you're not sure when it was last tuned, or it's been quite a while, replace the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor. It won't cost much for parts, and you can do it yourself to save $$. Let me know how it goes, or if you need further help. Curt

1992 bronco crank no start

are the injectors delivering fuel? just because u have fuel press it doesn't mean the injectors are working, buy a tool called a "noid", about $5.00, it plugs into the injector connector and blinks when u crank the engine if the injectors are working, u do one at a time. if not check the wiring harness to the engine, very common to have problems there. I have been a Ford dealer tech for 20 years and my specility is this type of problem, i.e. no starts, the ECM/PCM is not a common failure.

Tune up

Start by replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, the fuel filter, air filter and O2 sensor then reset the igntion timing to factory specs.
