I would use a castrol 5-W30 because castrol is a tar based oil and not a wax based like penzoil which is bad for you engine. Yes you could use a full synthetic but keep in mind that if you have any leaks it will leak even more because sytnthetic oil molecules are smaller and will find their way past gaskets pretty easily. if you are worried about that just use castrol high mileage 5-W30. If your not worried about that then use castrol fully synthetic 5-W30. Hope this helps.

THe problem with fixing an expansion tank is they get HOT and have chemicals in them, ANY kind of poxy resins or glues will only last for a short period. i got a new tank for mine when mine was knackered. i got it from www.milners4x4.com. you cant be safe enough with the expansion tank, if it blows when your doing 70 on the motorway, you can look forward to a new engine. Better safe than sorry
