If you look under the drivers seat, you'll see a cable going to the track that the seat rides on. Unscrew the cable and, with the help of an assitant, move the seat to where you feel comfortable and then replace the cable. This is only a quick fix, to fix this properly you'll probably have to replace the drivemotor and the cable which is quite expensive if you are the only driver of the vehicle. Thank you, Dana

Hi Kathy,
Unless pedal modifications are legal in your State (in which case consider having the mods done) you should change the car!

No brake fluid reaching rear brakes

Your problem could be several things #1 Are you bleeding the brakes properly , start at passenger side rear wheel. Have someone t sit in drivers seat Have them push brake pedal down ,open bleeder.,close bleeder ,have them let brake pedal up . push pedal down again ,you open bleeder again than close bleeder, have brake pedal up continue doing this until a stream of brake fluid without air comes out.( never pump the brake pedal while bleeding) if this is not working after 30 or more cycles you may need to replace your master cylinder. if this was helpful please leave goodback

Change the brake fluid

This typically takes 2 people and good communication. One person needs to be in the drivers seat and the other under the vehicle. The steps go as follows. 1. Locate the drainage nipple (10mm on most Toyota's) on the brake farthest away from the master cylinder 2. Crack this open while the person in the drivers seat slowly pushes the pedal to the floor. 3. Announce when the pedal is about to reach the floor, warning the person under the car to tighten the nipple back down. 4. At this point, the person in the drivers seat can release the pressure from the brake pedal. 5. Continue this process until you see clean DOT 3 brake fluid draining through the nipple, making sure the reservoir has plenty of fluid. 6. Repeat these steps for the remaining brakes, going from farthest to closest.

BIG TIP! Set up a communication system before starting, so each person knows what to do when a command is announced.

Power driver seat 2004 dakota will not go forward evrything else works

Seat Switch is bad or the worm drive for the seat is mis-aligned. Does it make any noise when trying to go forward? Obviously, don't use the Back option or you won't be able to reach the pedals.

Good luck, TD

My manual driver's side seat adjuster won't lock anymore which prevents me from being able reach the pedals safely!

Hi, you may have to remove the seat from the car it's most likely the only way you are going to be able to see the fault, the lever for lifting the seat is normally the cause have you tried forceing the lever back into position or working it up and down.

Th seat is pretty easy to take out, Regards

Drivers side power seat and steering column don't work

i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.

i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.
