What is the fuel pressure spec for a 1987 Monte Carlo with a 4.3 V6? I'm trying to check my fuel pump to make sure I have enough pressure. I just need to know what I should have.

Your fuel pump is getting ready to go out.Check your fuel pressure it should be 48-55 psi with key on and engine off.If its not within specs then replace the pump and filter.

1995 chevy monte carlo wont start got spark got good fuel pressure from pump sprayrd eather in intake started then shut off any ideas?

Go back to the fuel pressure. You can have a good spray from the shrader valve, but there may not be enough pressure 40 to 47 PSI. If you do have this pressure , then go to the injectors. Tyhere is a fuse for these, check it first. We can go from here, but I need to know what engine size you have.

97 monte carlo, 3.1L, won't start. Ignition is turning over, but it doesn't seem like any fuel is igniting. There is spark, so I'm assuming it is a fuel problem. I can hear the fuel pump turn on when I...

Check fuel filter, fuel pump pressure, try putting a little gas in the intake manifold, if it starts adn stays running, the fuel pump is not putting out enough presure to open the injectors to start.

85 monte carlo just rebuilt th700 trans changed plugs and wires engine has a miss and stalls out under a load

Without more information about your engine - Mileage etc. I will venture two things
One change the timing try more advance and less advance and also check the filter - and also the moisture in the fuel if any.
Second - Be sure the carburetor is still large enough to feed the engine enough fuel under pressure. This is if you built the engine to use more fuel.

Last - - check for vacuum leaks from engine and also from engine to transmission

My 2000 monte carlo ss with a 3800 engine tends to start and stall about six times befor running, I pulled 3 codes 0108, 0404, and 1404 from the the computer .

I believe the codes are emmission related. I would have the fuel pump pressure checked. The fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator seems to be the failrue. The restarting of the engine several times is making the system build up enough pressure to start running . I would take to a shop to have the fuel pressure checked.
