What type of noise ? if it is squeeling, check the level of power steering fluid, after you are sure the level is up , turn the steering wheel as far as it will go one way and hold it there for a couple seconds... then turn it all the way the other way. that will remove any air in the system.

What will be the problem if i have a taping noise when i start my car until it gets warm mitsubishi 380

A tapping noise that starts out cold and goes away when warm is usually caused by a valve lifter inside the engine. The lifter may be worn/leaking down and will be noisy until it fills with oil pressure. You can try an oil additive ( Lucas Oil Additive ) available at most part stores works very well with noisy lifters. Another noise that can happen cold and go away when warm is an exhaust manifold leak. However, this is normally a ticking type sound rather than a tapping sound.

Check your power steering fluid level. Some of them get noisy on cold start up when they are low on fluid.

When I started my ford 08 explorer sport tracker in the cold it started while running i heard a winding noise for a minute then it was gone what could the noise from?

whining noises are usually the power steering pump. Check your power steering fluid levels. If they are fine do not worry about it, cold weather does this to the pump and goes away as you warm up.

Loud whirring noise at start-up

The first thing to check would be to make sure the power steering reservoir is not running near empty, locate the filler cap for the power steering pump it should be marked and then add the appropriate amount making sure you don't over fill, that may make the sound go away if not we must move on to the next possibility, by the way if the noise gets louder when you turn the steering wheel it is most likely the power steering pump or fluid level is low.

Steering is choppy / groans at startup

The first economical solution is to have a shop to change out the steering fluid and the filter to see if improved. If it os not then we can talk about the steering pump service. Good luck.

Whining engine

It could be a pully bearing going bad, or your power stearing pump. next time you start it when it's cold try moving your steering wheel left to righ and see if there is any changes. The next time try removing your belt before you start it and see if the noise goes away. The belt could be warn out and hard itll it warms up and soften up. Start with a new belt. Good luck

I have a 1995 ford f250 with the 7.3L diesel. The vehicle makes a large sucking noise when cold, and the engine loses power. when the rpm's pick up, it regains power and drives well. Problem goes away when...

The problem is due to a lack of compression in the engine when the truck is cold, try using the engine block heater more, or allow more time for the truck to warm up.
