A code P0442 (BBEVAP) most likely means one or more of the following has happened: a loose or improperly affixed gas cap; a non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand); a small leak/hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube; other small leak in EVAP system; faulty vent o-ring seal

The simplest is to start with tightening the gas cap or replacing it. Have Autozone reset the error, than drive it for awhile and see if that solves your problem.

If that doesn't work, I suggest taking it to an auto repair center to find the problem.

My 2004 ford focus check engine light when on, what can I do?

Take the car to Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts. They have a code scanner that can tell you what the check engine light means. They do that for free.

My engine light came on and I took it to auto zone for them to check it and it came up with code P0441

P0441 : Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
.
could be a stuck open purge solenoid. Maybe its bad or just jammed, put some fuel line cleaner or anything that can take the gum out and dirt. then rest the code and Hope you'll be lucky. Good luck

My check engine light came on today....I took my 2004 Santa Fe to Auto Zone where they ran a test on it....the code came back PO449??? Any ideas what this means....HELP....I'm leaving in 2 days for a trip...

your going to have to check online for that code and usually no matter what you can always drive a car with the check engine light on as long as the car feels fine.

The EGR Valve is located on top of the intake manifold. If you are standing in front of the car it would be on your right hand side. It is cylinder in shape and has wire harness that connects to the back of the engine!

Evaporator Tank...this is an emissions-related failure and SHOULD be covered under manufacturer warranty (10 yrs. on emissions equip) they may charge you for the labor though

What is a BBEVAP control system purge control valve circit on a 1997 Nissan XE SE King Cab is?

BBEVAP? Yeah, I'm guessing you took it to autozone or something to have the codes ran. It has to do with pressure all around your car. The purge valve releases extra fumes in your car

Coolant Temp Sensor

The sensor is located on the drivers side engine block...although you can see if from looking from the top of the engine, you would have to get under the vehicle and look up to replace it. Be aware that it takes a special tool to unscrew the old one and screw in the replacement.
