Temperture keeps rising when im only driving a few miles goes to 70 in ten mins and then goes to 90 and then goes back down, last night my car felt like it had lost power ,when i drove it this morning it...

Sounds like the thermostat is gone in the cooling system, when this goes it does not allow cooler water from the radiator to be exchanged for the hot water around the engine block.the reason you lost power is because the pistons got too hot and started to expand in the block, eventually this will lead to your engine ceasing totally and thats a new engine you would need. it may seem a little slower because you may have damaged piston rings in the advice is get the thermostat checked out and dont drive the vehicle untill this is fixed or else it may cease up

While driving, the temperture gage always rises as if it was overheating but it never gets to the point where it reaches the redzone on the gage. Then few seconds later it sets back in the normal operating...

It sounds like your thermostat is sticking. That should not be too involved to replace and if you have a medium level ability you could change it out yourself. These newer cars aren't like the old ones - sometimes you'll have to remove components you would not have had to on an older vehicle, so I suggest getting a repair manual first to decide if you want to do the job yourself. Most auto parts stores will allow you to look at a manual without purchasing as long as you don't get it dirty, so you may not have to but it to make your decision.
Good luck!

When i stop at a stop sign or light my temperture goes up but when i take of it goes back down does this sound like the thermostat

will the temperature rise up to the red if you do not take off? 1- did you ever get the cooling system serviced? . 2- get a radiator flush and follow instructions on the bottle 3-if it did not get better take your thermostat out and replace it with a new one. 4- if still not good check your radiator you may have to replace it,before you do it with the car at normal operating temperature the engine off ignition key off check and see if the temperature on the radiator it self is the same on top and bottom if it is not replace the radiator . caution never open the radiator cap with the car hot. hope it solves your problem.

Temperture guage goes from 180 to 260 and bounces back and forth. The service engine soon stays on constant. The check guage light goes on and off when the temperture goes red line.

The check engine light is operating correctly as the computer reads a spike in temperature range in the engine. Your problem is more than likely a bad thermostat. I have seen times when a bad or loose radiator cap would cause the same symptoms. If the radiator cap has been removed recently it could be that it is just not on correctly. Make sure you check this only when your engine is cold. Hope this helps you out

Ford Taurus Part # WT724

sounds like the gauge and sensor r workin properly....but you do have to address that coolant leak...that causes your temp to fluctuate cuz you cooling capacity is being reduced

Put a little heat at first then blow cold air water normally rises

Is the temperture gauge going up, if not it is because the thermostat is stuck open. or your dial is broke on the heat panel.
