You could put fuel into the intake, near the throttle plates, but that is not going to help. I think something got broken in your tank, Fix that and you shoudl be able to start...

I want to syphon gas out of a 2005 kia rio

if the car is headed to the salvage yard anyway..if you have a drain pan thats clean or some gallon jugs that are clean, do this carefully..raise the back of the car up enough to get to the tank and have room(and help)to switch out bottles as necesary..just using a hammer and a screwdriver or b ig nail with a sharp point.. poke a hole in the tank and drain the fuel out into the bottles our drain pan..BUT..NO SMOKING...NO OPEN FLAME..NO LIGHTERS etc..this gas is very explosive and should be handled as little as posible..autozone and walmart carry an oil drainpan that sits flatways and has a drainspout on it and it holds about 6 gallons of fluid..consider using something similar before putting a hole in the tank..once the hole is made during the draining process, when needing to stop the flow to change bottles..just use your finger to plug the hole..gas liquid does not harm too much and can be removed with handsoap..the smell is a bit strong will go away after some time..just be very careful and remember this is usually NOT recommended to do..gas theives do this same thing using a portable batterypowered drill in the city.. my bosses van has a plastic fuel tank on it that hols 38 gallons of gas,, its been hit 3 times in one year...

When I turn the car on tons of Gas pours out all over the ground. As far as I can see there is no hole in the gas tank. Everyone keeps telling me its the rubber hose. I need to know the likely hood of that...

It depends on where on the car it is leaking. For sure if it only leaks with the car on it is leaking from a gas line. There are rubber lines connecting the steel lines to the tankand they can go bad. The steel lines run up one side of the frame, usually the driver's side. They can also corrode and leak.
If you are quite sure the leak is on top of the tank then it has to come off. There are 2 straps holding it on and the bolts should be at the bumper end. Don't be surprised if they break off, they can be replaced. You will also have to unbolt the fill neck at the top because it will come down with the tank. Leave the cap on. You should block the tank up before you start and have a hydraulic jack so that once the straps are off you can slowly lower the tank with it. Make sure you have a piece of wood between the jack and the tank so you don't poke a hole in the tank. Gas as a liquid is not combustable but the vapors are so as long as you don't smoke or create a spark you should have nothing to worry about. That's why you use the wood blocks.
When you can see your problem you can get rubber gas lines by the foot and hose clamps at the autoparts store. If the steel lines are bad then steel brake line is an acceptable substitute and can be bought by length or by the foot. Hope this helps.

How to change a fuel pump on a 2000 chevy astro van

It is located in the gas tank, you will need to remove the sending unit at the top fo the tank. To access the sending unit, you will need to drop the tank by removing the straps. It is a big tank so drain as much as possible and disconnect the batter before you start.

Hope this helps

Was at the gas station putting gas in the van after getting gas tried to start the van to leave van wouldn't start act like it wants to start but won't someone cleaned of the battery post for me but van...

sounds like a fuel problem, try having someone hit bottom of tank hard a few times while someone is trying to start the van, see if it starts, i think you might have a bad fuelpump start there, good luck.

How to rmove fuel from fuel tank of 2000 chevy express van?

Some fuel tanks have a drain **** that will allow you to drain all of the gas neatly. If you have a drain ****, it will be located at the lowest point on the tank. Loosen the valve and allow the gas to completely drain.
If your tank has no drain ****, you'll have to drain it by removing one of the fuel lines. The rubber hose that exits the tank at its lowest point will drain the tank fully. It will either be connected to an electric fuel pump, fuel filter, or to a hard fuel line that goes to the front of the car. Loosen the clamp on the end of the line that connects to the gas tank. Pull the hose off and allow the gas to run out of the tank into your container until it is drained completely.

Question about where something is.

The pump is located in the gas tank. You will have to remove the straps holding the tank up; (with tank empty is best) and remove the tank. Be careful not to damage the gasoline lines. You may have to hold the tank up while someone else removes the pump from the top of the tank.
