Sometimes a ground will make the lights dim, if it is dim on one side look for the ground for that side. I had a little trouble understanding your Q. Try looking in your owners manual for location of relays

Where is the headlamp relay on a 2007 saturn ion

Are both low beams an high beams not working ? What engine does your car have ? Low beam relay only on 2.2 L .
On vehicles with manual headlamps, the LH HDLP and RH HDLP fuse in the fuse block - under hood, supply battery positive voltage to both low beam lamps and high beam lamps at all times. The low beam and high beam circuits continue through the fuse block - under hood, through the body control module (BCM), and to the headlamp switch. The low beam or high beam circuit then, depending on the position of the dimmer switch, continues through the headlamp switch. When the headlamp switch is placed in the ON position, it provides a ground path for the low beam or high beam lamps through G203. The low beam and high beam circuits are monitored by the BCM.
Is there B+ voltage at the headlamp fuse's ? Power runs from fuse through the head lamps to the dimmer switch through the head lamp switch to ground when turned on . If there is B+ voltage at the fuse ,check for voltage at the headlamp switch .

My high beams do not work. Low beams work fine. When i switch to high beam low beam goes out to. 2004 f-150

Check the high beam relay in the central Junction Box (Fuse box) under dash and check fuse F2.35, 20 amp yellow. One is bad.

See owner manual for fuse panel location & Chart.

High beam works and low beam dont , checked fuses under hood there good , tried new switch stilll no low beam , is there a relay for low beam cant find one.

Why yes there is. It's #46 under the hood. Switch relay #45 with #46, do you now have lights? Either clean the contacts by pushing it in and out of the fuse box, or buy a new relay. Cleaning the relay worked for me, but I keep a spare just in case. Very common problem with Envoys and Trailblazers.

Headlites won't come on .all other lites work but, high and low beam don't function.high beam will only operate if I keep the handle of the passing beam up. Have checked the relay system and fuses, All are...

if the high beams function when holding the passing lever, you know the bulbs and fuses are good, the bulbs do operate. the passing lever bypasses the headlight switch on the dash. replace the headlight switch, and be prepared to also replace the connector for this switch, since they had a tendency to melt.

Low beam not working but high beam is-Pontiac Vibe 2005

I have heard it could be the Daylight Running Light module located under the dash above the brake pedal. The module controls both the daytime running lights and the low beam lights. The high beams are independent of this module.

I have the same problem. I am trying to buy a new module.

What would make the low beams work but not the high beams

low beams are for foggy situations.. there should be a button to turn on the fog lights ... unless it has a sensor

LOW BEAM LIGHTS

Hi Rich Million,

Check the bulbs for the low beam problem and if they're ok, check the fuses under the bonnet (hood) which are found in the fuse box. If you've already checked those, go to the fuse box inside the vehicle.

Still no luck....remember that there are fuses and relays inside the cabin behind the kick panel.....You may find that there is a problem with the main fuse box.....If you drive over rough terrain, check the connections under the main fuse box....even if your roads are all smooth, it's still worth checking.....
