Needs to be greased. get a grease gun and crawl underneath and add grease to all grease zerks. your sway bar bushings could be dry too. spray them with some silicone lubricant. there is a bar that runs the width of the vehicle underneath usually between radiator and engine. This is your sway bar. There will be two metal horseshoe shaped brackets with rubber surrounding the bar. The rubber is your sway bar bushings.

Steering wheel not centered

You will need to have an alignment performed to center the steering wheel. If any front end steering parts have been changed, the steering angles will be affected causing the sterring wheel to be off center. Also, hitting curbs/potholes can affect the alignment off setting the steering wheel

The sterring wheel needs to turned to drive straight

Have a front end alignment done as that will put the steering wheel back to center. If the tires are wearing unevenly this will solve that problem also.

I have a 05 Cadillac Escalade and the sterring wheel shakes when I'm driving on town streets and on highway. I brought it in for service....and explain to the service people my problem. All they did was...

Have them check the universal joints, front and rear, as well as the two on the front shaft if it is a four wheel drive model, the CV joints on the front axle if 4WD, the drive shaft(s) for straightness, mud in wheel recesses, and the rear end and front differential "chunks."

Recently bought a 2004 escape with new tires. IO have to turn the sterring wheel to the right to go straight. I had tan alignment, problem persists.

Is there noise and/or vibration coming from the front end wheel area? If so you may have a bad wheel bearing. Also check your tie rod and u-joints.
