I have a Nissan Sunny 1.4 sometimes it wont start

i have a Nissan Sunny 1.4 it sometimes it wont start after being out in , which is really annoying as get stuck . it is dead absolutely nothing no sounds coming from it at all when it stops. The battery has been checked and thats fine . itsa been tapped and wires checked around the iginition . The only other thing is maybe a wire to the gear box ive heard through friends could this be right
