I drove my car and it had no oil it turned off while driving now it wont start whats wrong with it?

If you drove it without oil and it heated up enough you seized the engine and you are out of luck. Engine rebuild or replacement is your only option. Check this out with a mechanic first before getting crazy though.

Hard crank no start like low battery or bound up

I would start by removing the serpentine belt then try to to crank the motor it my seem improbable but I've seen seized water pumps power, steering pumps, alternators etc cause that kind of issue also what's your battery voltage starter draw and voltage drop test would be a good idea but you'll need a dvom and high amp clamp. Try putting a wrench on the crank pulley nut and turn the motor by hand it will take some force but if you really gotta pull on it or you feel binding or seizing you have a major mechanical issue good luck

Changed battery in 2000 honda crv engine still want turn

If the wiring from the battery is OK and the solenoid switch is activating when turning the ignition key, then it may be that the engine has seized and would need stripping down.

Starter wont turn flywheel

starter motor weak. weak battery or engine is seized. take the spark plugs out and turn engine over with spanner on the bottom bolt on the pulley. if thats fine and move the engine freely then check the battery try a jump off a good battery. if not good and still will not start with the spark plugs back in then the starter motor is weak and needs changing. can do any of these in any order you like.

Engine won't start turn

no crank
1: battery dead, not charged. does it jump crank?
2: bad battery (corroded clean em) cables lugs. (4 ends)
3: bad starter /solenoid, assembly
4: engine seized, (turn it by hand you cant?)
5: bad key line, (from key switch to PRNDL to stater , no connections)

jump start it, if passed test, battery bad/discharged , and if fail?
you then (battery is good)
hot wire the starter solenoid, keys in pockets
fail? yes, bad starter, seized engine. turn by hand , now you know.
if passes hot wire test, bad key line. (tiny wire)

easy huh?

Toyota corolla, engine seized

the first thing I would do I would check my alternator belt if it runs w pump and alt this could be the problem of overheating and dead battery on the engine part what I do is put a socket at the crankshaft bolt and turn it with a 1/.2 braker bar if it turns the engine is not seiced be sure the engine is off to this tests.

My escort has a seized engine OR mechanic said it could be the starter gear?

TRY USING A 1/2 LARGE SOCKET AND 1/2 INCH RATCHET WRENCH TRY TURNING CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT TO SEE IF ENGINE WILL TURN OVER IF SO ENGINE NOT SEIZED UP. IF ENGINE WONT TURN OVER MORE LIKELY ENGINE HAS SEIZED UP.IF ENGINE CAN BE TURNED USING A WRENCH CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS. IF BATTERY GOOD REPLACE OR CLEAN BATTERY CABLES AND BATTERY POST TERMINALS. IF BATTERY AND CABLES OKAY. REMOVE STARTER AND HAVE STARTER AND SOLENOID CHECK OUT AT A AUTO PARTS STORES.TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE REMOVING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.IF STARTER AND BATTERY GOOD PROBLEM IN THE IGNITION SWITCH OR THEFT SECURITY MODE IS ON DISABLING STARTER AND FUEL PUMP.

Engine Seized up on a 2006 Pontiac G6

check the oil and coolant levels. if coolant is low pull the sparkplugs and try to turn the engine over if still not turning free remove the serpentine belt and try again, if it turns over ok check the pullyes on the front of the motor to see if they all turn free by hand. a serpentine belt can prevent an engine from turning over if a tensioner, idler, water pump, alternator, or power steering pump is siezed up or starting to seize. being your battery is bad I'm thinking probably the alternator is seized. hope this helps mike.

2001 Dodge Stratus wont start

first you want to make sure your engine is not seized, do this byy taking a wrench and turning the engine manually with the crank shaft, thats the one all the ay on the bottom, if it does not move your engine seized.

if it is not seized, check all of your battery cables to make sure they are not corroded or greasy, as an extra measure you may want to clean the neg cable at the block to make sure it is getting connection.
