What are you talking about the fan clutch? if so it unbolts from the fan and water pump and the clutch can be replaced. The pickups had problems with the ideler pully so replace it at the same time. if it's slipping not going into gear then yo need a clutch pack throw out bearing and ideler bearing you will need to have the flywheel surfaced as well. costs about $280.oo for everything and a days worth of work, it's light enought for one man to do the job.

First remove the thermostat housing at the side of the water pump and then remove the water pump bolts. Now you can take off the water pump. You get high quality water pumps for all models at http://www.carpartswarehouse.com/part/water-pump.html

2002 BMW 330i still running hot after replacing thermostat & housing, fan, fan clutch, auxiliary fan and flushing the radiator. Any explanation as to why?

These water pumps are know to fail internally. The blade may freespinning. You will need to remove the water pump and inspect.
Or you may have a head gasket issue. Its simple to test if you want a shop to inspect it for you

Pulling a fan clutch assembly from a GMC 4.3 water pump?

First remove the fan from the clutch. There should be four to six bolts holding the fan to the clutch. The clutch is held on to the pump with four bolts. remove the four bolts to remove the clutch. I've included a pic of the pump to indicate the four mounting holes. Not sure if the link will work.

Need to get this fixed remove water pump pully on 99' dodge 5.9 liter

You will need a special holding wrench made by "LISLE TOOLS" or "OTC", most tools stores stock it
its fairly cheap, looks like a long thin como wrench, and might com in two pcs, one for fan clutch.
good luck
