How do i delete original keyless entry code from my 2004 Ford Expedition??...

I assume you are talking about the door unlock/lock pad on the driver's side of the Expedition. If you are talking about the key fob and electric door locks, then you will have to go to the dealer to have your keys programmed as they have the correct equipment to do this. Neither the factory nor dealers want the codes to be made public as any could then make a copy of your car key and, voila, your car vanishes without a trace.

Since we are assuming that you want to change the entry code on the optional external keypad, it is a rather easy chore that only takes a few steps.

First, you will have to locate the original code that was programmed into your keypad. To find the original code, check the owner's manual or the documentation you received with your Expedition, if you still have it. If not, you will have to contact either your dealer's service department or Ford directly. At this time -- before you start reprogramming the code -- it's a good time to sit down and to figure out a new five-digit code and write it down.

Once you have the code, enter it on the keypad and quickly press the 1-2 buttons (you have five seconds).

Next, take the five-digit code you put on paper earlier and enter it one digit at a time. Be sure you have entered the number correctly because your window to enter each figure is only five seconds.

The entry system will respond by unlocking and locking the system. This confirms that the programming has been successful.

Code programming is only one aspect of the car. If you are interested in general auto information or safety-related issues, check

Is there a web site that i can get the code for my van for the keypad that is on the driver side door just in case i lock my keys in the car or is there somewhere on the van i can get it

Unfortunately, only the dealer can reset the combination. When I replaced the keypad on a Lincoln Mark VIII, I had to take it to the dealer for them to reset the combination code that had been in it. Fortunately, they did it without charging hourly rates.

How do i reset my key pad on the drivers door on a 1998 ford explorer?

Do you have the code (sequence of numbers) for the lock? If not, you will not be able to change the lock code on the keypad without assistance from the Ford dealership. If you do then the owners manual gives step by step instructions. If you need an owners manual I can help with those instructions. Some vehicles have a card tucked up under the dash with the "code" for the locks from when the vehicle was first sold. I would look for that if you don't have the lock code.

My keys are locked on my 99 expedition. It has a keypad but i dont know the code. Its 99 expedition EB. I'm trying to get in my vehicle without having to call a locksmith

Unfortunately there is no good way about that, however there is light at the end of the tunnel, once you get it open your local ford dealer can pull up that code through their computer and you will never have to worry about it again, i carry mine in my wallet, i have even seen it written underneath the wheel wells on customer cars i have worked on.

Is there a default code to opening the doors. Keys are locked inside and the keypad on the driver door is not working.looking for the best way of getting door opened without calling a locksmith

I went through this with my lincoln. The dealer told me there is not a default code and they can not pull yours up with the VIN either. The codes are issued by a third party when the car is built and in order to retrieve you would have had to register it when you bought the car, if you got it new. If not, then you will have to call a locksmith. Sorry for the bad news.

How to change the keypad code on a 2001 mercury grand marquis

look for the permanent code on the plastic card in the owner manual packet. Or, pay dealer to extract code from computer.

Keyless Entry Keypad Code Programming NOTE: The system only allows one code to be programmed.
  1. Enter the permanent factory keyless entry keypad code.
  1. Press the 1/2 button within five seconds to activate the programming mode. Holding the 1/2 button for more than two seconds after activation will erase the stored customer code . The door locks will lock, then unlock, confirming the code is erased. The existing code will not need to be erased to program new a code.
  1. Within five seconds, enter the new five-digit keyless entry keypad code. The door locks will lock and unlock to confirm the new code is programmed.

Im having trouble with my car not starting. I have tried jumping it but if that works at all it takes like 20 mins. Last time i tried to do that i lost all power and now nothing works but the theft light....

I believe it is electrical. Since your theft light is on now, the antitheft could be the reason your car did not start in the first place.
If you have a model with the keypad on the door, try and enter the code without using a remote. Then try to start the vehicle. If that does not work, disconnect the negative post of your battery for 10 minutes and then reattach it.
Repeat the entering of the code on the keypad and then try to start the car.
Some of the ignition keys have a computer chip in them that talks to the antitheft unit. If your chip is broke, the vehicle will not recognize you. The deaaler is about the only place to go for this problem. You can get keys online, but you don't know if it is the car part or the key part that is bad.
