I was wondering if anybody knows what the air things is in the trunk of a 2000 bonneville ssei is for i was thkjnking that it is for the tires or something and i would reallyt like to use my car o the fullest extent

My GUESS is that a previous owner probably installed air shocks and the valve you refer to is for inflating them.

    it is to fill the tires with air, as long as the car is on it will give u 5 mins of air at a time

most likely the expansion valve on the evap coil under the dash on the passenger side is stuck. system will have to be evacuated to replace it.

Engine swap


I believe the 1995 S/C 3.8L changed in 1996 (switched to series II). I do know for sure that the normally asperaited 1995 had a Series II 3.8L.

If this is true (series I in 1995 S/C), quite a lot could possibly need changed.

Trunk wont open where is emergency switch inside trunk


I had the same problem as you. Take out the back seat and there is a large access hole to the interior. There are two bolts that are fairly easy to get to. Remove them and the truck latch is removed from the lid and trunk will open.
