I belive this is carburated and it sounds like it needs adjusted but replace the fuel filter if it is in the carb they clog up easy.

My choke light stays on while i drive my 84 firebird trans am. Why does it do that and how can i make it go away?

the choke light will come on when the choke is on i assume its electric choke if the choke is on vehicle would run poorly flood out and stall if vehicle runs fine then its in the electrics of the choke switch or a bad wire to the choke that says its on even when its not i would start there first.

I have an 1983 olds delta 88 it will start be turns off when i put in gear what could i be faced with

The first thing to check would be your idle speed, it should be 750 RPM in park. When you put it in gear it will drop to about 500. If that's okay you are probably in the market for a carb rebuild. You could run a can of carburator cleaner through it but that will only be a temporary fix. Get the kind that you spray into the carb while the car is running and follow the directions on the can.
When you take the carburator in for a rebuild, take it to a shop that specializes in that type of work. It will pay off in the long run. Hope this helps.

Hi there I have a 1988 delta 88 the problem is that when I start it up and drive it wants to stall out but when the temperature rises it runs alot better not to sure if this is the problem I have replaced...

Could be several issues that are common with GM cars :
  1. Bad MAP sensor
  2. Bad TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)
These are the most common areas that would cause the problem you have.

Stalls when ideling

Coolant temperature sensor can be checked with an ohmeter.
You should be able to get the cold and hot values from your local auto parts store or a GM manual at your library.
Good place to start with the described condition .
Have you replaced the coolant lately or therm ostat?
If so it may have an air pocket.
To check this feel if you get hot air from the heater constantly or it fluctuates.
