Maybe a clogged fuel filter. or bad fuel pump...before you turn your engine to full start click it just before start and you should hear a small noise from under you fuel tank,,,,,if you here this then the pump is probably working.

Car wont start just keeps backfiring

Many things could be causing your vehicle to act like that. When parked for a while, mice sometimes make a home in the car and chew wires for a food source. Second, the moisture may have gotten to your spark. Check all your plug wires and cap/rotor for breaks or build up. It sounds like your car is either lacking in spark, or fuel. Turn the key on and have someone listen to the gas tank to hear if the fuel pump kicks on. If no sound, or weak scratchy sound, your pump is shot. Complete tune-up and fresh gas is a plus. Good luck.

My tahoe acts like it is going to start but wont like it isnt getting gas. i had pump replaced approx. a year ago

The pump could have still went out. Spray a little starter fluid in the throttle and have some to start it. If it starts keep spaying it a little to keep it running. If it cut off, then most likely the pump or filter need to be changed. Or a fuel pump relay keeping the pump from kicking on. Usually you can open your gas cap and have someone to just turn the ignition on while you listen at the gas hole for a faint or buzzing type sound. This is letting you know the pump is kicking on.

Truck acts like it is running out of gas? Replaced fuel filter. Ran fine for awhile but now still acts like it is starving for fuel.

my '93 f-250 (4.9L) stopped running while driving, now it acts like it isn't getting any fuel. Tried switching tanks, but still does the same. What would be the problem.

Truck says its out of gas

This sounds like your fuel pump. See if you are getting fuel to the fuel rail. Sometimes giving the vehicle a good shake will help it to temporarily start. Also try the relay.
