Question about 2004 Ford Freestar
Recently my service enginer light came on and I am recieving code P0171 system to lean (bank 1). I was told to check the H02S for bank one. How diffcult is this to change and where is it located? Also on the 2003 ford expedition where is the MAF located?
If you have the 3.8 engine you might have a vacuum leak at the intake where the plastic intake meets the lower intake, there are rubber gaskets that fail when they get older from oil getting into intake. This will set that po171 also p0172 -3 &4,hope this helps as you may be wasting time and money to try and fix it with just the o2sensor .The maf on the ex is where the cone air filter is look for the wiring harness that goes into air filter housing, its inside there fun to remove dont brake it
