Which cylinder is cylinder number 5 on a 2000 ford expedition triton 5.4l v8


first cylinder on driver side . (fords cylinders number1 is passenger side so is number 2,3,4,& then on driver side is number 5,6,7,8 )

I have a 2001 ford expedition do not whitch cly is number 5


2001 Ford Expedition 4.6 liter SOHC V-8 VIN "6" / 5.4 liter SOHC V-8 VIN "L"Cylinder # passenger side radiator to firewall 1-2-3-4
Cylinder # driver side radiator to firewall 5-6-7-8

2005 firing order Ford Expedition need to know wich is piston number 8


Hello morris_valen: My name is Roger and I can help. The fire order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Number 8 cylinder is the rear plug on the drivers side. The cylinders run front to back on the passenger side as 1-2-3-4- and on the opposite side front to back 5-6-7-8.

97 Expedition, 5.4L hesitated during acceleration 40-45MPH. Check Engine light flashed, then stayed on. Would get up to 55-60MPH. All guages read ok. First trouble ever with this car.


go to a parts store and they will let you use their scanner for free. sounds like a cylinder misfiring. The scanner will tell you which one it is.

Firing order 1-4-2-5-3-6
cylinder # passenger side front to back 1-2-3
Cylinder # driver side front to back 4-5-6

Coil pack # passenger to drivers side firewall 1-2-3
coil pack #passenger to drivers side radiator 5-6-4
