Question about 1999 Buick Century

1 Answer

Headlight will not work and the bright light do but they will not stay on unless you pull the turn signal switch forward and hold it. I do not know if it is a ground problem or a daylight sensor problem. funny thing is that every now and then they do work.

Once again, it sounds to me like a bad multifunction switch. Very common problem. Fairly expensive, you wouldnt really want to replace it just on my say so.

Sounds like your switch is bad (i.e. turn signal / healight dimmer / winshield lever switch) inside the steering column. Replace as necessary.

Headlights wont come on and bright lights won't stay on hold bright light switch and blower works

I had the same problem. The solution is simple; the ignition switch needs to be replaced. This is an easy do-it-yourself project. Here are instructions:

Check for a switch on ebay, they are about $15. After 10 years they wear out.
