Engine turn over wont start

Assume you have gas. BMW does not like to start or run if the battery voltage gets too low (for example sitting in the driveway unused. It does not take long with all the electrical drain(computer, security, etc.). A peculiar item about M cars is if the oil gets 3 quarts low, the engine wont start to protect the engine. Other less common camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, ignition coil pack, fuel filter, fuel pump. If it does not crank but battery is fine, check the starter. Turn the ignition to ON but not START then if you cannot hear the fuel pump humming, the fuel pump itself or a relay to it is probably bad. Using a rubber mallet, give a couple of sharp blows to the underside of the fuel tank and then try to start. If it starts, fuel pump is bad. Fuel pump is located under the back seat on the passenger side-easy to get to.

Engine light came on and using to much fuel and missing at low speed driving

Get the engine light code read! It will tell you what sensor has gone out of range or stopped responding to the computer.

You probably have a coolant temp sensor going bad. That usually keeps the car in "open loop" mode which means it dumps a lot more fuel to warm up the vehicle until the coolant sensor says its ready to adjust things. No coolant sensor....no adjust! Running rich at low speed causes fouling and misses at low speed.

Good luck and be careful!

Brakes worked fine when parked now pedal is on floor car has been parked for 5 months

When it was parked fluid may have run out of a wheel cylinder, a caliper, brake line or the master cylinder and created an air space in the brake lines.
Rust could also be a factor depending on where and how it was stored. Rust could have developed on all of these items as well.
I would suggest bleeding the air out of the system and look for leaks afterwards.

Im wanting to convert my 2002 V6 2.0 X type to lpg,but have been given lots of different stories regarding Valve seat recession.Anybody help?

You have been given false information, in old cars that were not designed to run on unleaded fuel then yes, but your car was designed to run specifically on unleaded fuel and will run just fine and even more emmisions free on LPG gas, the only draw back to LPG is the size and location of the fuel tank required to use LPG as your exclusive source of fuel. being that it is a car you will looses storage space in your trunk area and the oter draw back depending on where you live is availability of filling staations... but absolutely no internal engine concerns.

My 69 Vette with a base engine has a vacuum problem. I have replaced the check valve and relay valve. With the engine warm and running at speeds of 40 mph or more the wiper door will rise and then the head...

ignition timing, cam grind of a performance cam shaft, can lower engine vacuum at idle, also check for a bad diaphragm or vacuum storage container in the system, some of the old vettes had a vacuum storage container to store vacuum because of the solid lifter motors and the cam grind they were noted for having low vacuum , so GM would use often a container that almost looked just like a 1 lb. coffee can painted black and put in in-line in the vacuum system to store vacuum so when you suddenly accelerated the headlight doors would not slam shut, it would provide enough lag time in the vacuum loss, that the storage would recover.... hope this helps...

1998 Dodge Ram Keeps dieing

I forget the name, but it sounds like you need some kind of ignition module replaced. I had the same problem with an older Dakota and it would die at a red light after a highway trip or under similar circumstances. There is some part in the ignition system that will fix that. I would get some FREE advice fom the Dodge service or parts department if you don't have a mechanic you are comfortable using. A good parts guy can give you the name and price over the phone. Another remote possibility would be an old timing chain getting loose but that would be an extreme case. I had that replaced as well and restored some of the "pep" in my engine. Less likely but overlooked items are all of the basics... Old spark plugs, full radiator, oil & filter, air filter, water in the gas (cold climate?), etc. It sounds like the ignition part to me though. Good luck!
