2006 Equinox blower fan will sometimes not come on, and other times just start working. A/C, heat, it doesn't matter.

There are two components between the heater/AC contol panel/module and the blower motor; a blower resistor and a High blower relay. The problem sounds like a connection issue(a wire is loose) or the relay is going bad.Have the voltage tested at the blower itself,at the relay and at the control panel.Do this when the blower is not working.Wherever there is no voltage when you turn on the blower, that component is the problem

Start problem

I have had the same exact problem now for 2 years. I have taken it to the dealer and it never does it for them and they say everything is within GM standards. I read about other gm cars having the same problem and some of them have been lucky enough to fix the problem by replacing the fuel pressure regulator. I am currently trying to see if its possible to replace in my '06 equinox. if you have any news please reply!

The blower works and a/c works but no heat comes out

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox

Need help with 2006 chevy equinox heat problem

take it to the dealer as it electronically controlled instead of manually like the old days the dealer has the tools to diagnose its gonna hurt your wallet but they are usually the only ones around who have the technology available... if its a fan check all your fuses and if it still isn't working believe it or not a good whack with a hammer to the end of the fan housing usually breaks the corrosion and the fan starts to work you may need to really wack it for this to work good luck
