Heater / defroster is blowing lukewarm air only. It seems to work just a little better if the fan is on half. When it is on full the air seems cooler.

Are there any other "cold" issues with the vehicle? This will help pinpoint the possible cause to a better extent. i.e:Is it coming up to normal operating temperature on the engine temperature gauge? Initially, it could be one of approxiamately 3 or 4 things.

If ther temp. guage is comming up to normal then most likely air in the heater system (need's bleeding) if the temp. guage is below normal then its a faulty thermostat.

Is the cooling system full,if so you may hve to get the heater core cleaned as they can plug up if the dexcool anti freeze has not been changed, could also have defective thermostat(stuck open)if you have gauge does it go half way or stay low temp, other causes could be stuck air blend door in heater system

Check the heater valve is fully open when in the hot position , this valve or tap often get stuck half open. if all is ok there flush the heater radiator as they can silt up.

Heater blowing only warm air, fan is fine. no leaks on heater core where is the control for the heater located

Make sure you have the coolant level at the correct level in the bottle resorvoir. If there is not fluid to circulate in the system, the fan will only blow a cool or lukewarm temperature air. If there is enough coolant, check that the water pump is working.

I just had a new thermostat put in my 2005 pilot because only cold air seemed to be blowing - lukewarm at best. They also fluched and put in new anti freeze. It seems better but not great. Now my center...

Had the same problem on a 2006 pilot LX. Hot from rear heater because it comes from a separate heater core. Front heat low because ball valve faulty that controls coolant flow to heater core. The lever on the valve would move freely but the connection to the shaft of the ball valve was stripped. Ball valve may be located on the firewall under the hood. Ball valve very poor design.

Heater does not work

Check blend door motor for proper operation (vacuum operated) if necessary, detach arm from heater box and move by hand. If you have heat then, change motor! You are reaching operating temp for engine, right? If not, thermostat is stuck open... Change.
