I just had the same thing 2 wks ago. You can buy a replacement kit at Checkers auto supply, Auto zone etc. for about $100 if you are handy. Its fairly simple. Comes with motor, arms, cable already in one assembled unit. I checked at shops, $300-350 to have them install. Search online, window motor install for jeep, I got better pictures/ instructions than in any service book.

Having used a small mirror i was able to see the bracket on the bottom of the window which houses a plastic mold in which the cable should be attached, can the plastic mold be replaced ???

If the plastic guide is broken, I suggest you replace the complete window regulator,it broke because it must have
wear on the rest of the plastic guides as well.
I have seen very few of those parts sold online, but like
I said just replace the regulator with a new one and have the peace of mind that it`s not going to break again tomorrow.
Hope this helps

I need to replace the rear passenger side window regulator in my 2001 dakota quad cab. I have taken it apart, removed the old regulator, and propped up the window

I had the same problem and found the broken lower cable guide laying in the bottom of the door. I drilled 2 holes thru the lower end of the regulator and remounted the guide with 2 screws. I then restrung the cable over the guides (not easy to do) and reinstalled the regulator in the door. It works like new.

Need to fix the cabel in the passenger side front window. it poped loose and window won't go up, but the cable itself is not broken and the motor is working.

The cables RARELY break. What breaks is the plastic guides in the window regulator that guide the cables. The only way to fix this is to replace the window regulator.

Motor on the drivers window is working but window does not move at all

The cable or the window lifter guides are more then likely broken. You will need to remove the inner door trim to check the window mechanism. If the cable is broken you will get a crunching noise when you try to operate the window. The mechanism will have to be replaced.

Window falls down when i use it

the seat clamps for the window on window arm are stationary and built into bottom of glass... if broken then new piece of glass needs to be purchased... if not then can basically be reseated back in joists... of course this involves taking off the inner door panel and removing the entire system... more than likely be prepared to replace the glass

Drivers side power window slid down and will not come back up

Sounds like your window regulator has broken. Remove the door panel and inspect the regulator for binding cable or broken guides. Replace as necessary.

Power windows

Once this device has failed (broken); you need to replace it. Once the cables are off, the regulator is beyond repair. This is a common failure with this model Camry; I regularly stock several window regulators in the parts dept and replace 5-6 a month.
