You should be able to adjust the distributor and tps to try and stop the surging. The tps is going to be located where the airbox hose connects to the intake. Look left on the front side and there should be a sensor with 2 screws. loosen and adjust. For the distributor you can advance it or ****** the timing be adjusting it. Any other questions i would be more than glad to help.

I have a 19999 Mazda B2500. The idle is very rough and when you step on the gas pedal the engine surges between idle and about 1500 RPM. It can best be described as acting much the same as the governo

it sounds like a lambda sensor issue, the lambda sensor is located on the exhaust manifold, it controls the emisions, it also controls the air/fuel mixture to control the emisions, if it is faulty it could cause the engine to surge like you describe

Engine surges not responsive to WOT

SOUNDS LIKE THE T.P.S. IS NOT FUNCTIONING. ALTHOUGH IT MAY TEST OK, IF IT IS NOT RESPONDING, THEN IT MUST BE REPLACED. UNLESS YOU HAVE A FUSE FOR THE TPS, THEN IT MUST BE THE ONLY REASON FOR NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. AND FOR AN HONEST RATING IN ADVANCE. GOOD LUCK.
