Remove all accessories from front of engine -alt and ps pump, then drain cooling system ,remove upper intake- remove valve covers then lower intake. Then take out push rods to remove gasket(keep push rods in order as exhaust rods ar longer-will bend valves if installed wrong-get a piece or card board and punch in 12 holes 6and 6opposite each other, then put push rods in it)please not their is an updated gasket set from FEL PRO that has all you need to repair the problem with updates torque specs for lower manifold in the box REMEMBER change motor oil befor starting-you can even pour a little oil onto lifters before putting lower back this is to get any coolant from upper block to run into pan before oil change,if not knocking will occur in the next week

86 camaro 2.8mpfi what two hoses are connected to back of intake manifold

The drawing you provided on another post shows one of the two connections. It is the hose that goes to the canister in the lower right corner of the drawing. Most likely the other hose goes to the Power Brake Booster. It gets a direct vacuum source from the engine as well, and it is usually directly from the intake manifold. That is not depicted on this diagram.

How do i change the manifold gasket on 1995 camaro

Intake or exhaust manifold? Intake manifold is gasket is a pretty big job that gets complicated even further with tight working quarters under the hood of a camaro. You have to remove the fuel injection system to access the intake. you may also have to remove some of the drive accessories, e.g, AC, alternator, etc. GM was using a two piece intake for a while. not sure if your car has one or not. you will need to get gaskets for the upper and lower intake. you will need a large assorment of tools and several hours to perform the task. Get a repair manual and look over the procedure before starting. Locate all the components the procedure mentions. Follw the instructions and take your time. Lay everything out in an organized manner as you pull it off your car. Keep everything clean and be careful not to drop anything down the intake ports...Reassembly is just the opposite, keeping things organized will save you time going back together. good luck. exhaust manifold will be a major pain in the backside. pay somebody if its the exhaust

1994 camaro 3.4 injector is leaking unbolted the plenum unpluged the wires to the injectors the plenum will not o come off i am afraid of damageing the other injectors or plenum dont know what to do

The lower intake manifold can be leaking antifreeze, The injectors are reconmended to be removed but they can stay in if nessary the lower intake manifold has 8 bolts and the studs that hold the injectors in have to be removed as they hold the upper phelm on too. To gain clearance to do this job the engine has to be raqised and the motor mounts removed and the then the engine lowered with the mounts removed. the engine will now be low enought to get to the rear bolts. The service maniul says to remove the subframe bolts and lower it all but the steering collum has to be disconnected or the rack released from the subframe and this is an area for damage. I lower the motor with the mounts loose. Break lines and ABS conponants are in the repair list if you let the subframe down too far.

Changing head gaskets

If you are referring to the intake manifold, be very certain that you have removed all of the bolts from the upper and the lower intake manifolds. Here are some diagrams that might be useful to you.

If you are certain that all of the bolts are removed from the manifolds, then you can break the seal holding the intake manifold by using a large screwdriver, wedge it between the intake manifold and the cylinder head and you should then be able to pry up the intake manifold and get it to break loose.

You did not specify what engine you had so these diagrams are for a 1998 3.8 litre V-6 engine. I hope that they will be of any use to you.8d58a40.gif97f8120.gifc0dadb4.gif332b28c.gif0f0a8e9.gif

Cold air intake 97 camaro v8

Hey - Glad you're doing a power add on.
The short answer is no.

You can just disconnect the battery for 3-4 minutes.

When you hook the battery back up start and run the car normally. Maybe a 20 minute run ONE WAY to a friends house this will give the onboard computer time to adjust.

If the car isn't running well before you add the cold air and you put the cold air on right and hooked up ALL hoses then it will be right.
If you didn't purchase the CAI or Cold Air Intake - then you will need to check to be sure it was done right.

Best of luck with it.

Please vote me good if you like my answer.
If not post more on it and we can work out any other problems.

Camaro leak

it may be the back of the intake leaking where it mates to the block, you do not have to remove the engine to repair, if thats what it is.
