Question about Buick Park Avenue
Got1988 buick park ave.car wouldnt start, hooked computer to it , it said ignition mod. changed it out,the batt. was low tryed to start it while the batt. was low and it sounded like the motor kick back.and now if i try to turn motor over it sounds like it is grinding. could it have jumped timming??? maybe??i dont know. how do i check to see if the timming is right, also need firing order
You may have damaged the starter when the engine kicked back.
The ignition module may have been defective.....but change the crank pickup too.........more likely it is the cause of the problems.
Change the crank pickup at every tune up..........it has a high failure rate.
If your engine has 250km or 150K miles you may need a chain soon.
