I just got a similar problem where my front blower is not blowing unless it is on maximum setting. The rear heats and the blower works fine at any speed. For the week before the front stopped blowing at the lower settings, I would occasionally get a smell similar to that of "burning plastic" coming out of the heat vents until it stoppoed blowing altogether at the lower settings. I read something about an evaporator board under the dashboard on a similar post about an ac problem (but no smell cited in that post). Im trying to figure this out so it I can get my mechanic rather than the dealer to fix this so it doesnt cost so much to fix.

Did you ever find an answer? I've got a rear blower that works and a front that isn't blowing. It will heat but not blow. Thanks

The ventilation fan for heat/ac is not working. The fuses all seem the be ok. Any thing else to look for

Did you check the proper fuses for voltage? Some fuses are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on. Even if fuses are good, if no voltage the circuit is still dead. I guess your talking about the blower motor? Can you hear it running? I don't know if you auto hvac or manual hvac? I don't know if your talking about front or rear blower motor?
Get at the blower motor, if two wire connector, that should be voltage and ground. Turn on the hvac controls, check for voltage and ground at the blower motor connector. If good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor.

It is possible to use jumper wires from the battery for voltage and ground to blower motor connector, just for testing to see if blower motor will run, use an inline fuse, just in case.
If you want wiring diagram, I need more info.

2001 mercury grand marquis ac/heater blower doesnt work

You have to check all associated fuses and relays then check power at the blower motor resistor located under the hood on the passengers side on the heater a/c plenum against the firewall under the rear coolant hose going into the back of intake. ..do the tap test and see if blower cones on

2001 sequoia front ac blower not working, blower motor is OK

Sounds like a Controller Issue with the Climate Control. Seeing that you applied power and it worked, then it is not the Motor.

UNLESS you try it on ALL SPEEDS and if it then does not work, you have an Input problem.

If it only works on ONE SPEED, then you have a Resister Issue for the Blower

My rear AC and Heat is not working in my 2001Suburban

start by check all fuses, then check for power at rear blower.if fuses are good and you have power then may have bad blower,if no power and fuses are good then may have bad resistor. hope this helps good luck.

Front AC Blower quit working. Rear AC blower

The first thing I would do is check to see if a fuse is blown or bad relay. Then I would unplug the blower motor with a test light make sure you are getting power to the blower located on the far passenger side of the vehicle under the dash if it has power and good ground then suspect vaulty motor. If you are not getting power at the plug then you might have a bad switch or resister. If it does have a blown fuse remember they usually blow for a reason like faulty wiring or even a in the motor itself. I would also recommend that you change the ac cabin filters behind the glove box if they have not been changed most people neglect them on that vehicle because they are a little more difficult to change, after removing the glove box there is a metal bracket in the way of opening the cabin filter compartment. They wont cause a blower motor to not work, however they do restrict airflow to the evaporator and they protect you from pollen, dust, and even exhaust gases. Hope this helps.

2001durango slt no heat in front

I have a 2001 Black Durango that had the same problem. There is a resister to the right of the ac/heat blower (underneath the dash on passaenger side). This needs to be replaced. You might want to replace the motor as well. Both are real easy. I had replaced the resister first and everthing worked fine for about 6 months and then my ac/heat would only works on high. I replaced the motor and now it works just fine. The resister was about $15 at dealership and the motor is prob around $40-$50. I hopes this helps. Good Luck!
