Use the electric fuel pump. Disconnect the line that goes to the engine, put it into a container and turn the key on. Because there is no back pressure it will continue to run until the tank is empty. Hope this helps.

The petrol gage is not working how do I fix that it is a Chevrolet captiva ltz 4x4 2008 model

Unfortunately, it's usually the sending unit that's gone bad, it's inside the gas tank.
Very few vehicles have an opening in the floor directly above the gas tank to pull the sending unit and pump. Usually you have to jack up the vehicle and drop the gas (petrol) tank.
The replacement part is cheap and a mechanic should be able to do the repair for a decent price. They have to remove most of the petrol before removing the tank so I would get the tank close to empty before bringing it in. (I know, without a gage it's hard to guess)

Why is my fuel gauge stuck on full even though there is only 50% of petrol in the petrol tank

Hi,it must be that the gauge or sender unit are faulty, check sender unit first.

Car is dead would like to get petrol out of it

I actually did this on a 98 Voyager mininvan.(this only works on fuel injected/electric fuel pump).Find the fuel pump relay, use a jumper wire to run the pump manually.Disconnect the fuel line at the injector rail and rig a hose to fill up a gas can.(most relays have a pin diagram-basic electrical knowledge needed to decipher the diagram).

Petrol gauge does not want to work where do i check on my polo classic 1998 1.6i

Best answer I can give you is keep your tank full, refill every 150 or so K and forget about the gauge. It is a expensive proposition to remove the tank, replace the sender unit and put the tank back up, even if that is all that is involved. And, frequently on older cars, there are complicating factors, such as rust that has attacked fasteners.

Hullo, I drive a 5 door 1.3ltr manual Ford Festiva. When the petrol tank is full the petrol reads full. When the petrol gauge reads around half full the petol gauge falls to zero. The petrol gauge will...

Your problem is the fuel gauge sending unit. It needs to be replaced. Another benefit of owning the durable festiva is the access panel under the back seat. You don't have to drop the tank to fix this problem.

Oil is mixing with antifreeze. landrover freelander . 1.8 petrol. year 2000

Sorry to be the one to tell you but you have a major expense on your hands. It is either a blown head gasket (the cheapest solution) or a cracked head (the next most expensive solution) or a cracked block (don't ask! ). Take it to a shop and have them do a compression test to find out which cylinder is leaking. Then get at least three quotes on repairing the damage. Good luck!!

How can i siphan out the gas on a 1998 ford explor

you will not be able to do so..there is a stopper in the hose to avoid siphoning..health reason it is there..the only way is to drop the tank and try to remove the fill hose then put siphone into the opening..but if your tank is full you will have to be very careful you will get spillage..it would be best if it is up on a hoist..with a tranie jack...
