2004 Eddie Bauer Expedition ...Front Vents needs to be replaced. need instructions how to remove broken vents and replace.

You can usually remove the old vents using a small flat bladed screwdriver and inserting it in the space between the dash and the vent (where the vent pivots) and gently prying up until the vent comes out. Replacing the vent is easier, just very carefully snap it back in the pivot holes. If the space seems a little tight, use the screwdriver to gently pry the dash out alittle till the vent goes into place.

1998 bmw 740il blower motor where is it

The blower motors on this vehicle lis located underneath the dash. The upper half of the dashboard is removable and entails removing the spedometer cluster. The airbag also needs to be removed to get to some usually white triangular looking nuts that hold the wooden trim above the glovebox. Removal of the front side panels to the left and right of the windsheild is also required. If this helps; the blower motor is located right below the large center vent in the center of the dash.

Can't find the location of the flasher module for turn signals

Are you sure they gave you the right one??? On the 2002 the turn signal flasher is apart of the hazard too.
Remove Hazard/cruise bezel on front of dash and be very careful as it breaks easily. Remove the center air conditioning vent in the dash. The vent is held in the dash by (4) PLASTIC hooks. Two on top and two on the bottom. THe top left hook is almost directly above the left vent adjustment tab on the louver and the bottom left hook is in about the same spot below. The top and bottom right hand hooks are above and below the right louver adjustment tab similar to the left side. They break easily!!!
After removing the vent you will be able to see the Hazard/cruise control retainer. This retainer is made from black plastic and has (2) rather large flaps on the left and right side of the hazard switch which is in the top part of the carrier. Simply squeeze BOTH together and the whole thing will fall out behind the dash.

Both the switches have the usual electrical connections. The hazard switch has a white tab on the right side that is depressed to free the connector. The cruise switch has a green lift tab to free the connector. You can now remove the carrier with both switches.

The hazard switch is in a green sleeve which must be removed from the black group carrier. Figures doesn't it! to do that depress the green tabs on the sides of the sleeve to get it out, I had to break the tabs off to do that. Do not worry about breaking the tabs since the new part includes this sleeve. The new part from GM at the dealer cost 71.86 as of 10/27/08.

Now replace the faulty switch and reassemble. If you have the part in hand BEFORE you start this should be a 30 minute job.

Another comment if the turn signals do not work but the cornering lights do then try this first. The other thing would be a bad turn signal leaver on the column and i believe that's around $250.00 at the dealer, going to be less at Auto Zone or the Salvage Yards.

Good luck and Hope this helps. Keep me posted be glad to help

Removing front and back speakers in 1991 Grand Am....

There is a lot involved in replacing these speakers. You should also know that the original factory speakers are 10 ohm speakers. This means that if you replace them with new speakers (most of which are 4 ohm) you run the risk of damaging the stereo, the speakers, or both. This can also cause a potential fire hazard in your car. If you want new speakers, you really should look at installing a new stereo as well.

To get to the back speakers, you will need to remove 2 bolts located under the front edge of the rear seat (bottom). After you remove the bottom, you will need to remove the rear seat (back). This involves removing the bolts that hold down the rear seat belts, which is a large sized torx bit (T-45, T-47, or T-50... Don't remember which). After removing these, lift straight up on the seat back to remove. Now remove the deck brake light housing, and the bracket that holds it. Now the deck cover can be removed. Be careful not to bend it too much getting it out from under the side trim on both sides.

For the front speakers, you must disassemble a good portion of the dash. Remove the screw holding the light switch and the wiper switch housings. This screw is underneath each housing. Once removed, there are dash mounting screws behind them. These screws (and many of the other dash screws) are a smaller torx-bit (T-10 or T-15, don't remember which). Sometimes they use a 7mm bolt. There is a cover panel just above the glove box. This panel is held on with 2 screws located in the glove box. After removing this panel, you will find 2 or 3 bolts holding on the dash. Last but not least, you will find 2 bolts inside each of the defroster vent grilles. These grilles just snap out for easier access to the bolts.

How to remove & replace center AC / heater vent in 2001 Honda Civic ?

They are held into the dash with plastic "spring" out retainers on the dash register. Use a thin blade like a putty knife to disengage the locks.
