Definately yout heater core.isk of damage would only be loss of coolsnt snd an uncomfortable passenger. It could fail further because it is under the same pressure as the readiator. It's your call. Remember the damage it will do to the carpet. heater cores can be repaired like a radiator. Good Luck, Ned

2000 caddy Seville ...after starting and engine warm turn on the heater and it blows cold air. Fan works / waiting for hot air and then all the sudden it kicks in. Engine at normal temp

Low coolant, if there is an air pocket in the engine it will make it to the heater core. Once there , the air coming out is cold/cool. Once the coolant fills the heater core, it gets hot. If the coolant is fine hot or cold, then have the HVAC system scanned.

1992 Cadillac Brougham 5.0 litre (Chevy engine) Digital dash goes dark. Tap on plastic face and dash would lite up. That no longer works. Is there any way that I can check it. Can I drive the car...

U will need to remove the dash and send it in for repair, this is caused by a defective light driver circuit, no u most likely can't drive it without the dash in place

sounds like u have a leak in the heater coil, which is sending antifreeze mist into the cab.

Oily smoke/mist coming from under bonnet from large pipe feed

That is the R12 Refrigerant from the AC System. A Seal has Blown out of the AC Compressor. You should be ok driving to a Garage , Just keep the air off and watch it Close.
