I have a 89 firebird cooling fan don't come on I'm

have you check to make sure the cooling fan is working and not seized. this is a common problem with most cars. this is where I would start then go to the relay. the relay is usually mounted on the firewall under the hood and there is a plastic cover that covers a row of relays. don`t remember which one is for the cooling fan though, they may be marked on the underside of the cover.

What is the horn relay location for 1979 trans am?

The dual horns are located between the radiator and engine...the horn button controls the circuit...you must remove the steering wheel to gain access to the horn button spring assembly...pre-air bag so not a big deal to remove the steering wheel on your 79 T/A...hope this helps.

When i brought my car i didnt realize the horn didn't work.

the clicking is the relay which is telling you that the connection at the horn is bad or the horn it self it bad, it also tells you the fuses are good.. i would find the horn, clean the connection, try it, then test the wire with someone else pushing the horn button and you should get a 12v reading if you get power and the connection is good then you just need to get a new horn.

Fuel pump will not stop

Could be a bad fuel pump relay. Disconnet the F/P relay and see if the pump turns off. If so replace that first and come back if that does not fix everything.

89 firebird blows fuse that powers fuel pump and ecm?

That joint & where wires separate, would be a good spot to use a clamp on amp meter, if you have, or know someone who has one, then you could get reading on each one, and zero in on one(s) with most draw.

Timing chain setting for 89 Firebird

Yes, there are two timing marks, one on the crank gear, and one on the cam gear. The crank gear mark needs to be at the top, and the cam gear mark needs to be at the bottom (lined up w. one another).

1989 formula firebird

On that particular model, you'll have to unbolt the rear end enough to lower it to gain access to dropping the tank. Use a jack and lower it about 6 - 8 inches. Once you're done that, you'll be able to remove the gas tank and access the fuel pump to replace it.
