Did you make sure to fill the AC system to the correct pressure recommened by the manufacturer? If not, the AC compressor switch will not be activated and as a fail safe it won't allow the compressor to come on at all. This is to keep the compressor from running when the pressure in the lines is too low and potentially damaging to the compressor (not enough lubircation). Double check your numbers, if this doens't work, then check all your electrical conections and the AC relay and fuses.

Have a 1988 Lincoln Town Car, have put in new A/C compressor, new drier, new condenser, new hoses, new evaporator & full of freon. But compressor want cycle, what could be my problem???

If the compressor wOnt cycle, it means that the pressure is not correct. How much freon, (and what type) did you put in, and did you PULL DOWN (with vacuum) the system to about -29 inches before putting the freon in? Did you use manifold gauges? If so, what is the high pressure, and what is the low pressure, at what ambient temperature?

New compressor on 2001 oldsmobile aurora. Still will not come on

There is a lot more to air conditioning than putting a new compressor on. I hope that you checked the fuses, checked the low side safety switch, drained and flushed the system, put in a new receiver dryer and vacuumed the system, put the oil back in the system and then put in new Freon.

FUSE KEEPS BLOWING

It sounds like the A/C compressor clutch is shorted. You will need to have the clutch and / or the complete compressor replaced.

There is a leak on the a/c compressor. how tough is it to put a knew one or how much would it be to get it done. Thanks

Are you certain the leak is at the compressor? The valve where the freon is put in, could be leaking. A new compressor is roughly $350-$400 and the labor is another $250. A dealer will get you for about $900. I would buy a used compressor which comes with usually the same amount of warranty as a new. The used is $75 and labor is about $200. good luck

Air conditioner compressor not turning on bought a new compressor last year it is full of freon/the new stuff

hopefully when they regassed it with the new freon they put dye in the system if the gas has leaked out somewhere slowly this will stop the compressor from working as the have a back pressure release valve, when the pressure isnt high enough the compressor will not engage. you may need to take it in to have them check the pressure in your system.

Howl or whine noise inside after the a/c compressor lines replace

Be sure that oil was added when the new compressor and line were put in. It sounds as if the compressor is the one making noise. Is it a new compressor?

When replacing the air conditioner Compressor and dyer how do I determine how much oil to put back into the system?

THE ACCUMULATOR OR DRYER.YOU HAVE TO PUT 1 OUNCE OF REFRIGERANT OIL IN IT.THE COMPRESSOR HAS SHIPPING OIL IN IT.IT HAS TO BE REPLACED.SO YOU TAKE NEW COMPRESSOR POUR OUT THE SHIPPING OIL IN IT.AND PUT THE SAME AMOUNT OF NEW REFRIGERANT IN COMPRESSOR.GO TO GARAGE OR AUTO PARTS PLACE.TO CHECK TO SEE HOW MUCH OIL COMPRESSOR HOLD TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE.

I am working on a 2000 nissan maxima and i have replaced the compressor and refilled the freon and oil and the presure relief valve keeps poping open with only one can of freon instaled it seems likethere...

Sometimes there are plugs in the compressor when shipped. Make sure that there is nothing in the compressor where the line attach. How much oil did you put in the system. Compressor are shipped with oil in them. The correct way to measure would be to drain the oil compressor and measure that amount. Then drain the new compressor and compare the amounts. Put NEW oil in the new compressor. Remember the compressor can not compress liquids. It is possible that there is too much oil in the compressor.
